Basically just post game modes or ideas that you'd like to see in MK: Deception, that could be added in an expansion or MK7.

Theatre Mode
I think that a theatre mode would be really cool in Mortal Kombat. They can have the endings, beginnings and biographies of characters in their. Maybe Ed Boon can do some origin of the character thing, too. Not to mention just the random videos they can put in. Scorpion vs Sub-Zero from MK1, etc.

Mortalopoly
A new game mode idea. The goal of the game is to become the ruler of the realm. Basically just like Monopoly, but instead of just buying places (like arenas), you can buy characters. When a player lands on a certain squae they have to fight that character (if they've been purchased). If the player's character loses, then the player that owns that fighter gets to take possession of their Koins, and the player is sent to the Krypt (sort of like the jail). If you get a double six, then you get to resume playing. Your restarting number of Koins is determined by how much you roll. So a 4 after being released gives you 4000 Koins. If two players meet on the same square, then they fight to see who takes the square and the others' Koins. If there is a purchased character on that square, they fight the opponent first, then the player gets to fight them if their character loses. If a player's character is killed, they go to the Krypt, in which they become free agents again, and if a player pays for their release, they resume the square they were in. If a square that originally had a character in it is unoccupied, the person who defeated the character can leave either a Death Trap, a Healing Square or an Opportunity Kard. Opportunities can be collected or dropped by any character.

Any interesting way to play would be to have a choice based game. You could either take the defeated player's Koins or Kards. The one you choose not to collect falls into the square. The next player to take possession of the character on that square can fight for the Kurrency or Kard.

Death Traps and Fatality squares are on the board also. If you land on a Fatality Square, you get to perform a Fatality on that character and take their Koins. Special moves and characteristics apply.

Dragons & Portals
Another game mode. Basically like snakes and ladders, but you go up portals, and down dragons. Characters have special moves and Fatalities, and Death Traps are all around the board. An idea for a special ability is Scorpion's Harpoon. It can be fired at any time, and basically travels along the same row as Scorpion is on. When it reaches it's first target, it brings them over to Scorpion. When a two characters are on the same square, they fight and the loser goes back to the start.

Board Kombat
Basically another game mode. The classic start and finish game. You randomly move around the board, each character with their own abilities. You fight when you land on the same square. You fall into Death Traps and pick up Kards as you go. You could also add the feature to needa specific amount of Koins to finish the game. If you don't meet the limit, you die and go back to the start.

Kharacter Konquest
In MK7 I'd have Longuest be a mixture of MK:DA's Konguest, and MK:D's Konquest. Basically you move around collecting stuff, just like MK:D, but you get to choose your character froma playable list, and relive their life from their start as a warrior.

You could also have a create a character one, and give the computer an ending profile, and a brief history of that character, and play as Konquest generated by that.

Aggression Bar
I would like to see them remake the Aggression Bar. The more ebating, or more angry a character getsm the more powerful their moves are. When a character gets full Aggression, if they win the fight, even if it is only the first round, you go onto Finsi Him/Her status. Maybe even special moves or different styles could become apparent when using this. Nightwolf's Tomahawks could become engulfed in the green energy. Scorpion's Mugai Ryu could be lit on fire. Kenshi's Katana could red, etc. Raiden could become a being of pure elctricity. You get the picture. Maybe even Brutalities return with this feature, and f you perform a good combo with a full aggression meter, you can continue them going through the entire round, and this goes on past the Finish Him/Her stage. Then they explode or fall apart, and your character licks the blood off their hands or something.

Excellent ideas!

Of all of them, Dragons and Portals and Board Kombat would probably be the easiest to make in game. Those would be awesome!

Kharacter Konquest would be great too, unfortuantely it would require so much information so it most likely wouldn't happen. It'd be great if it did.

Theatre mode is a must imo. This should definitely be in game!

And as for Mortopoly, they could just make this as a seperate spin off game! I think it'd kick ass!
The new take on the Agression Meter is pretty cool. Having it enhance Fatalities would be nice.

That would be great! I have always wanted something like that for MK.

Thanks for the great feedback, if anyone wants to add something, feel free.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Kharacter Konquest thing become its own game. Sort of like an RPG, but battles are done in a Deception fighting type of thing. The games could be added online or in a seperate game. Iwas wondering just recently if Midway would release a Mortal Kombat mini-game game. Konquest could also go in there.

i have always wanted to be in a fight against 2 sub bosses at one time, ex goro and kintaro simultaneously. I think that would be awesome to see how u stack up against more than one boss. I mean sure, it would be insanely difficult, but im up to the challenge.

I like the portals and dragons game, a similar move to a scorpion spear would be a Sub Zero freeze. If it connects it would make the opponent it hits miss a turn and stay where they are.

The best idea you have is the return of the theatre mode. That was cool in MK4, and I would like to see the intro, bios and endings whenever I want. I know you could do the same (without the intro) in DA, but I'd like it all in one place. I'd definitely like to see that return, and I'm sure there will be something similar in MKD.
But I didn't like the aggressor meter at all in MKT, so I wouldn't like to see that again. I think if a fighter is going to be at a disadvantage it should at least be realistic, like the impale in MKDA...

Melee Mode. Where you choose your character and fight every other character in a blood bath holocaust knocking them into deathtraps and dismantling them with special moves, weapons and whatever is available on the stage. Snapping body parts and ripping them off and being able to perform fatalities during the fight for easy kills. And whatever else that people want to add.

I like your idea for Sub-Zero's Freeze. I personally hated the Aggession Meter in Trilogy too, but I think if they remade the hole concept, it could be interesting. Maybe even not a meter? If you've seen the Mortal Kombat movies you'll notice how at the start of the fight the Kombatants are neck and neck, exchanging blows. Towards the end of the fight, however, one of the fighters takes charage and continues to hit move after move with growing speed I think a "smarter" game engine like this would be interesting, so the more hits you connect in a row, the more successful you're attacking character is.

I love that idea! Same goes for the sub-boss one.

I'd like to see another 2D game released. I wouldn't mind seeing a "what if" type game. Maybe one where Shao Kahn beats Liu Kang in MK2, or if the invasion was won by Shao Kahn.

Some great ideas by the orig poster.

Also love that Melee mode idea. Why not just call it, "Blood Bath!"

I would like a mini-game or if a lot is put into it a spinoff game based on similar gameplay to "Gladius" except using every MK character ever.

It's turn-based and fighting in arenas. Cool battles like Red Dragon V Black Dragon, Good V Evil, Male V Female, human v non-human, God v Mortal and many other battles scenarios based on the MK universe would be possible.

It works on the rock/paper/scissors formula. Applying this to MK all the bosses, perhaps Jax and Sheeva would be classed as big. All the male ninjas and most other males classed as medium. All the females and the odd character like Kai classed as small.

Big has advantage over medium, medium over small and small over big. Height also comes into play and you aim is to place on a higher spot than your opponent. Special moves and combos are bought after experience is earnt.

Anyone who has played "Gladius" will probably understand.

sumixam, that's a pretty good idea, but I'd rather see it completely martial art based instead of size based.

Yeah the sizes thing gives advantages but these can be overcome. Like I said before if you are standing in a higher position then the advantage is nullified, even reversed.

There are skills that nullify some advantages and some characters have healing abilities as well etc. It's all too complicated to explain here and you might not get it unless you have actually played "Gladius".
