its really hard to say who it is exactly..maybe the new sub-zero has gone bad? or possilbly the orginal has returned?(though i doubt that)...but im thinking his new costume has somthing to do with scorpion..it appears in some pics, that scorpion doesnt have the skull pads on his legs that he wore in mkda...they appear to be on "sub-zeros" arms.

its hard to tell at this point. just because his suit isnt ice blue, doesnt mean its not sub...it appears to be teal or something close to that..or did any one think if this: with all the the interactive stuff thats in the game, could it possible be that his suit changes colors as time goes on?...

or it may have something to due with the dragon amulet taking over his body or something.

And as much as I would like to see Shao Kahn return as a boss, I doubt they'd bring back *if they did, it would probably be in a ending*

follower of scorpion, i think you're diggin' way too far into this with the shogun theories and such. it's obviously subzero. he's shooting out ice at milenna. and i doubt they'd make a new character so similar to sub, and i highly doubt they'd change kahns scheme to light blue.

Well the games title is deception, maybe you will come across charcters in certain modes of the game you don't really understand... Like you think they might be sub-zero, but turn out to be someone els.. Or maybe the somehow got shang to do morphs but each character isn't a perfect copy.. Who knows, I guess the more logical answer is sub-zero. But either way this game looks off the hook so far.

Kahn really needs to return..or Shang should be the main bad guy, they are both way better then Quan Chi and Shinnok..

Tho the Dragon King might be cool...his stage looks really tight (the one with all the snakes)

i still think thats the dragon king, maybe he has a mixture of his own moves and some other characters moves to make him hard as hell to beat, i havnt truly seen the movie so maybe its some new character like shang tsung (or maybe its some other game i forget now) where the person has other players moves

Ok let me point out a few things on what I think is going on in this wonderful new title.The title is called deception.Shangtusng and quan chi both decieved Shao Kahn.Baraka was leader of Shao kahns outworld army next to Shangtsung.If the story goes that way,anything is possible.Shao kahn isn't a mortal so we could (hopefully) see him back.

i hope Kahn comes back... From what i hear i dont think that the Dragon King will be a boss... mainly because the Dragon King was Reptiles Grandfather and now that hes a part of Reptile all he wants is to get his people and kingdom back...

actually i just noticed, that guy in the movie looks ALOT like the person in Raidens ending in MKDA, look at the background when u view it and ull see him in the center with nitara on his right and moloch on his left
that guy is odd though, he has scorpions shin guards on his arms, sub zero's blue tint (once again this could just be something glowing near it) and a dragon on his pantleg and if barak and mileena are supposed to be allies why in the movie are they attacking each other?

Subs outfit looks great! I don't know who that hlmet belongs to, but it'll be interest to find out whose it is. I doubt it is Kahns. It looks nothing like his mask anyway. It could be the Dragon Kings, or maybe some other new characters.

looks.. more like the dragon king imo.. since it is kinda green.. but then again its sub.. because you can see him freezing people in the other pics.. so i am glade to see hes revamped into a bad #@$.. hmm.. unless its anouther liu char..

It's Sub-Zero. We all know yellow and blue make green right? Well Sub-Zero's costume is blue and then you have the yellow glow coming frome the Serpent(Dragon King?) eyes making his outfit appear greenish.

Remember the photos of MKII printed in that huge issue of EGM back in the day with the MKII characters on it? Sub-Zero appeared greenish-blue in those as well. It's really no different here. Colors can be changed easily, not to mention it could be video quality.

As for the topic, it's obviously Sub-Zero. The two other shots of him in what appears to be him preparing for a fatality clearly shows him using ice in one and what looks like the head rip in another.
Also, to everyone saying Tsung should be the boss, aren't you tired of fighting the same bosses over and over again? It was Tsung in MK1, Kahn in MKII-UMK3, Shinnok in MK4 (who was also playable), and Tsung and Chi in MK:DA (who are also playable). I'd like someone fresh. Or at least someone that's unplayable with awesome moves to make it feel more like an actual boss. At least make their playability some big secret code. Bosses have seemed to suffer on every MK game posterior to MKII.

Its a interesting possibility that its Kahn.
