Yea what the hell is that? Thats weird. I have no idea what it means though.

It`s a glitch. there are many.
In chaos realm at the labyrinth part, I punched Bo RAi Cho and fell off the platform. After the fight, I could explore the lower part. I ended up getting stuch in the clouds.
I also got frozen behind Nitara in the outworld cave.
I`ve seen Lui Kang in Edenia, not where he challenges to a fight but behind that building. He walked through the wall and back again.
Glitches are very common. You have simply found the latest one.

I've seen Chaosrealm "Punks" walking in mid air, ground level still, from a nearby "island", to the one I was on. Also, the Onyx coin behind the portal platform in Chaosrealm.

holy shit dude i did that and i was running around for awhile and i went to the edge of the sky (u can see it at night) and i was running and around and i saw a golden box but then it disappeared!!!! i was waitiing for it to come back but it still hasnt!!!!!!

Another glitch I found was when you Meditate. Once I was meditating and he was floating.

THe chest you saw was probably hotarus chest or a regular chest because i noticed if you look around you will see the road too or just the chest that you already opened.

Do you remember the grid location? I know that there was something out in that area that I was able to unlock, and I think it had something to do with the day or time as well.

after u go out far enough it says -1 as grid area
