I miss how responsive the 2d games were (not including part one)...I like to play MK:D but I wish It wasn't as sluggish...For example...Say you are Scorpion and someone throws a fireball at you. In the other Mk's you could teleport and hit them without a second thought. But now It is very tedious to do that and it seems like you can't do the moves very fast on the controller cause the game won't register it. Can you imagine how kick ass this game would be if you could actually do the moves the instant you did it on the controller or if you punched it would punche as your finger pressed the button. It makes me giddy to think of what the game would be like if it was that quick. any ways just a thought. I commend the team for the "Kontent" that is in the game, and like a hungry MK fan I will keep playing it.

ya know, i actually did think that MKD felt a little sluggish at first,
but after playing it hardcore for like the last 32 hours, i think it was all in my mind...
im having much more luck dodging firebals with teleports now, i think i know why too.
in MK 2 and up they beefed up the teleports ALOT. i cant remember if it were arial then or not but at least MKULTIMATE and up you could do scorp's port in mid-air.
also as far as MK1 goes,
i bought the special edition MKD that comes with the 'Arcade Perfect' MK1...
near as i can tell it realy is a perfect version of classic MK.... (very good, except for the fact i cant change my button config-so i can use my arcade stick)
but oh my god is it slow. i remember reading at the time how they reduced frame rate of animations to save memory, and man... you can see it now.
so anyway, just keep playing, i think once you get the feel for its timing you will see that it is pretty responsive.

Yeah, I agree. At first it seemed a bit sluggish. I couldn't handle Scorpion as well as I did in MKDA, and he was my star player. But now I'm pretty mean with alot of the characters. However, I've gotta say I do wish it was faster. I remember the days when I could teleport punch, spear, combo, jump kick, teleport punch, spear, etc..
Man, those were the days.

Yeah man, that was some pretty inteligent insight. I hear you man. Another thing is that when a player blocks your combo, of course your supposed to be vulnerable but do they really need to make the vulnerability time like almost a full second. The entire pace of the fight in MKD needs to be just a little faster.

I like the game alot and I have put prob. 30 hours into it. I hate to bring up Tekken but in that game your player feels like an extentension of the controller. I agree with you too Brinkster. There will be times when the block just does not register....
