I'm going to spoiler this, so it won't ruin anything, for people who are getting this issue of the magazine. I wrote this all out from my mag, so it's not taken from any sites.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I grew up reading comic books and clearly remember when the Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man comic came out," says Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon. "I could barely contain myself, because such a crossover was something I never thought I'd see." No doubt MK fans are thinking the same thing right now. With Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe leaping from rumor to Unreal Engine 3-powered reality in a single bound (Instered Image of http://media.teamxbox.com/dailyposts/MK_DCU_Image.jpg), is Sub-Zero really going to show Batman his own spine? "DC has been really good at letting us do our thing, but they obviously have to protect their properties as well, "explains Boon. "I don't suspect they would have been too keen on us ripping Batman's head off!" And while writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, fresh from DC's Countdown mega-series, are making sure the story jives with comic lore, we can't help but wonder how the hell these two worlds are compatible! "They are not compatible!" agrees Boon. "That's what makes the pairing so exciting, and that's part of the conflict when they meet. Each side looks at the other as the enemy, which is cause for a lot of the discord they face. As far as the game is concerned, since it's being designed by the Mortal Kombat team, you can expect alot of brutality in it. We definitely want to push the envelope, but again, we aren't going to have Superman rip Sub-Zero's arms off.... as much as we'd love to!"

Yea I agree.Just cause you word the interview differently boon doesnt mean its new DAMN IT.
I think its funny that he admits pretty much that the two worlds don't work then goes right back and pretty much saids that it does.I am so confused. Is he crazy or something?
Its like saying, this knife isn't that sharp but it is and thats why it cuts things.

Thanks for the interview update bro.
lol, it should take Batman like 5minutes to figure out that the Sub-zero isn't a bad guy.

Hmmm... Nothing much we haven't already heard multiple times, but it's nice to see him framing it for people in the context of each series' individuality.
I don't doubt that DC could cobble together something in an MK vein, but the juxtaposition of attitudes, characters, and abilities of each brand can be one of the real points of interest.
