I rather have a new reptile,
That instead of 3 fighting styles, it is like two fighters like noob-smoke.
Where first style is Lizard Reptile, with moves like Roll, Acid Spit etc...
Next Style is Ninja Reptile, with Force Ball, Invisibilty etc... And have reptile basically morph back and forth when switching styles.
That would be awesome.

I'm really getting tired of all these "so reptile is the dragon king as we all know" posts. Someone tell me what i've missed.
1) The endings in Mortal Kombat are "what ifs". They are what would happen IF that character won the tournament. They are not what actually happens... they do not count towards the storyline unless the MK team says so, and incorperates it into a future game. So far, we've seen nothing of the sort from the MK team to say that Reptiles ending was cannon.
2) Even if, IF, reptiles ending did happen. His ending never says he turns into the dragon king. People apparently add words and personal opinions, and actually create false memories.
Reptiles ending states that he's in the lava shrine when the egg hatches. The game specifically says that the egg contained the last great dragon, yet to be born. The egg did not contain the dragon king... the dragon king was in a tomb... dead. When the egg hatched, it would signify the return of the great king. It never said that whoever was around when the egg hatched would be the dragon king.
The intro showed it... Quan chi found the dragon kings tomb. Dragon king doesn't need reptiles body... he has his own... its in that tomb.
Reptile's ending only states that his body was twisted, not that the soul of the dragon king inhabited it and reformed him. It never said that... people just started making that shit up.
3)Although i haven't seen the MKD intro myself, from what i've read of it, and heard of it, reptile is nowhere to be found in it, and yet it shows the return of the dragon king... so if it shows the dragon king arrive on the scene and doesn't show him inhabit Reptiles body... then reptile isn't dragon king, and isn't providing the body for the dragon king

Wow i dont hear that one too much, most people thought MKDA reptile looked stupid. Most people want a Ninja or MK4 reptile. I personally liked the MK4 reptile

That's a good idea mayn. Is the Dragon King really Reptile? I gotta go play DA, i havent played it in a while. That would be cool as hell if Reptile did get unlocked like that. If it happens I will go in the army and learn how to build refrigerators and such!

well nobody knows for sure, if the dragon king is reptile, and i dont want him to be either, its just so lame, and no, ed boon never said, reptile was the dk

Reptile IS Onaga. When the egg hatched, it took over Reptile's body and turned him into Onaga. Why do you think he's not in this game as part of the original 24? If he wasn't Onaga, there was no reason to just get rid of him after MK:DA. I don't know the EXACT story word-for-word, but basically, the egg hatched and Reptile became Onaga.

It clearly states in reptiles ending that a light burst out of the egg and hit reptile. Then reptile's body was twisted, transformed, and filled with power. then it says that the prophecy came true and the dragon king was reborn.

if reptile is in the game thy should have the raptor costume and nija the lizard thing waz awsome pherhaps it waz a rip off of ripror from killler instinct but it waz awsome nice ending thery by the way that would be an awsome way to unlock him

since everyone is posting what they think. ive beat it enough and watched reptiles ending enough to know what it ses. but think about it maybe the dragon king only used reptiles body to hatch out of him. like how reptilian animals shed skin?? who knows maybe hell be in mk7. i doubt a supa unlockable

I dont think that Reptile is the Onaga because he didn't win the fake tourney. Plus it would be really dumb to turn a perfectly good character into someone else. Someone said it earlier that the ending didnt say Reptile was transformed into Onaga. But the solid proof remains that he didn't win. And I think the only reason the ending was made was to just add conspiracy to the next game. Like right now, if that ending didn't exist for Reptile, this thread would have never been made. Boon just likes to hear talk. And because this is a common rumor, I think Reptile will be a Super Unlockable.

Hmm, only a few things to say about this. First off, NO NINJA REPTILE! He's lived past his time, reptiles are supposed to look like reptiles. Plus, everyone is leaving the ninja type look, save Scorpion who was actually a ninja and deserves to keep it. Secondly, I still do believe that Onaga's spirit has taken over Reptile's body and that Reptile may return to normal once Onaga gets his ass owned.

Why do people never listen to other people, even if they have credible information that everyone that played MK:DA has seen (at least if they beat it with reptile)? REPTILE HAS TURNED INTO ONAGA. Get it through your heads.

I hate listening to this bullshit every other week, so I think I'll finally say something.
Fact:The issue of Reptile and the Dragon King is very obscure.
Undetermined:Reptile is/isn't the host for the Dragon King
There are three things that could have happened.
1. Reptile was transformed and killed
2. Reptile is the host for the Dragon King
3. Reptile simply witnessed the Dragon King's rebirth and his fate is simply unknown. Perhaps Nitara educated him on his species and homeworld.

and while we're at it let me add some other hypotheticals:
1)Reptile got tired of listening to outworld music, so he gave up his dancing crab combo style and took up hip-hapkido and went to earthrealm nightclubs to prey on bad-acting hackers from jurassic park who have little brothers named tim.
2)Reptile was in reality cheating on Khameleon with Nitara. But he did not like it when Nitara sucked his...blood. And when she got pregnant, he went into the dragon king's cave and pretended to change into the dragon king just so that he could say that it was really Onaga who was Nitara's baby's daddy. So now Onaga, in order to make money to pay child support, has to conquer mad realms and tax everyone very heavily so that he can make the payments on time and not be sued by the high courts of outworld.
3)Reptile messed around with Nitara only because he was trying to seduce Cyrax, and Nitara, jealous that Reptile had pulled a Jim McGreevey (the gov. of new jersey) on her, used her talisman to send cyrax away. But Reptile did not want her skanky money sucking ass so he decided to peace out.

Hmm, I guess I did leave out a few possible explanations. Well either way, it doesn't matter because maybe Reptile continued to evolve and he turned into an Ameba (sp). I have a question for some people here, why do you want him in his Ninja form so bad? Can't you simply play MK2 or UMK3 and get your Ninja fix? I mean it's still a bit annoying that we have Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Ermac all looking pretty Ninjaish (is that a word?).
