not sure what the real meaning of hari kari is
but i think everyone has the wrong idea on this site.

the winner of the fight dosn't kill themselves
and the loser dosn't kill themselves

this is how i think it will work.

ok:
sub-zero is fighting kuna lao

sub-zero wins 2 rounds it says" finish him"

the player who picked sub-zero puts in the button combination

sub-zero takes out a weapon and starts walking over to kung lao ,

kung lao looking at the sword , kills himself before sub-zero can.

you see its still a fatality for the winner of the battle, and a sucide at the same time....

think about it.

here's how it work.

You are fighting your best friend at Mortal Kombat Deception.

You pick Sub, he picks Scropion.

You beat him to flawless in a row.

Now it's Fatality time and it's a speed race between you and your friend to see if you are gonna pull out a Fatality on is As* before he can kill himself by doing is own Harakiri move on himself. It's like a Fatality reversal.

See Harakiri means killing yourself because your a disgrace to your master or to yourself.

This ''Harakiri'' technic, was born in the ancien China if i'm alright. Ninja and Samurai used to apply this technic to themself when they became a disgrace to their Master.

No i dont think it will be like that because it was going to be a race between players who has the fastest fingers. I think the first one to complete the button combination wins. For the winner its a fatality and the loser kills himself.

whats the point of "racing" after i already beat you in 2 rounds. i think it would be better my way, could make for some really origianl kills something new.

The term is actually "Hara-Kiri", meaning ritualistic suicide in Japanese. It's what the bushido did to themselves when they felt that they were dishonored/dishonorable.

I don't know where the MK Team and/or PSM got "Hara-Kari" from...

This may sound weired but what if it is an atomatic forefit. If you know you are going to loose, then you might kill yourself to avoid humiliation. It might not even count as a lose against you."Like a fancy reset button animation"
