It's a concept similar to what some people do with mame emulation. They create/buy an arcade cabinet and then hook it up with mame emulation and a huge library of roms. Are there any stories of anyone doing this with the most recent trilogy of MK games? (MKDA/MKD/MKA). I think that would kick so much ass.

MK 4 was the last MK that was released in the arcades. Such as the PC.
So the latest trilogy (MKDA/MKD/MKA) is impossible to get by arcade emulation.

You didn't read the question fully.

As for someone making a cabinet, it's highly possible, but wouldn't be seen in an arcade. Although I did see a bunch of ROMs stuck in an Arcade machine once in an arcade. But it was like Ms. Pac man and stuff..

Yea that's what Im talking about. However I didnt mean an official arcade release. Rather something more like a fan project that involves fitting MKDA, MKD and MKA into a custom arcade cabinet w/joystick controls.

it's not impossible todo, but for creating a arcade game you need a particular program(i don't know the name) and you have to convert also all DLLs from windows.
however by a vcouple of years with the improvement of tecnology it qould be possible.

Yes it would. But i dont think you can.Because they are 3-D i dont think you can emulate them.It might take up too much memory.grin

There's no set amount of memory in a ROM, or an arcade cabinet.

ok guys i find a crazy-insane mk fanatic that claims to have a mkda custom cabinet.

i'll post the link NOW:
http://fp.enter.net/~jkool/MKKRAFTS.htm

look the pic MY MINI MK MACHNES" there is a reproduction of da cabinet.
the cabinet it's NOT owned by this guy,by it's a really trustable reproduction
of the cabinet.
the name of the owner is unknown, and unluckly we don't know if there are improvements into graphics, gameplay and mechianics.
