He's been with MK Games Since the beginning I doubt he would stop.

Things change, and he's not the only man that can do the job.

He's not the only musician on the MK team now. There's many other competent people in the music department.

He hasn't made any new music since MKDA. In MKD he just did remixes, and in MKA he just supervised.

So it's not a big deal.

Yeah, besides there's nothing that actually confirms that Dan Forden won't be working on MK8 with the music or sound, he did a lot of the hot remixes and music work with MKD and MKA. Chances are his talents will be called upon again, and even if that's not the case there's other people that can do it well I'm sure.

considering how bad the storylines have gotten and how ridiculously long character bios are, that would not be a bad thing. time to go back to fewer characters with simple, focused plots.

The storyline is not bad, just left a lot open...hell most fighting games suck ass or have no storyline period, at least MK has one....despite what midway does, those same ungrateful, unpleased fans will still bitch regardless.... even on this new storyline someone will hate it.

soul calibur has a very good storyline, as do other fighting games. mk's storyline was once quite good but has gotten worse ever since mk3. complaining how bad plots are now and how pointlessly lengthy bios are is not "betraying" mk, it is hoping mk gets back on track. too many characters = watered down plot, story and gameplay as mk armageddon proved. i can only hope they mean what they said about mk armageddon and let it be the end for most of the characters and start fresh.

I love how people griped when there were no bio's, then we get bio's, and people complain that they're long. hell with all the plot holes that the lack of bio's to begin with left us, they had to be that long.

tekken's story outside of the main mishima bloodline is just horrible to me. ooohhhh, watch as the williams sisters slap each other. look on in horror as jack is hit from space with a laser beam and deactivated. laugh as a bear takes over the mishima zaibatsu. quake in fear as paul challenges aliens for best fighter in the universe.(it's stories like these that make mka's storyline look like an oscar winner)

That's because there is a huge huge difference between how Western and Eastern fighters interpret stories. It's not only the differences in the fighting engine. It is also story, characters, music, backgrounds, and other things.

Ok...seriously, MK owns SC with storyline....SC's is lame and has no originality. MK's has always been good for the most part, only really until MKD/MKA have some fans bitched...

I agree with Detox with the not being that impressed with SC's storyline, and what they're doing with SC4 having Yoda and Darth in there is just utterly retarded(aside from the fact that it doesn't make sense)...

What Dan Forden does anyone can do better,as for the storyline of MK,what a fucking joke,MK 1 storyline is straight copied from Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon",and then people says "MK originality",those people have a serious mental problem.

X-men are Justice League ripoffs since Marvel was no doubt inspired by DC, Tekken is a VF ripoff..., KI is an MK/SF bite off seriously...being inspired and flat out ripping something off are two different things.

MK is nothing like ETD because ETD has no supernatural powers involved or sorcerers nor was nearly as dark, gory like MK is not to mention no Gods, sorcerers or as I said before supernatural characters...MK is like ETD as much as a Thunderbird is like a Corvette....nothing alike, but since they're both sports classics they must be the same OMG...please. If you do your homework, you'll learn that MK was inspired by SF, and not ETD....

And honestly, there's about 100 different martial art films that are similar to each other a lot more then MK is similar to them, anyone that seriously thinks MK's storyline is weak or not among the top of fighting games storywise are smoking something or in just denial, just take a look at the other fighting games storyline and compare, there either is none or it's just plain weak all together dude...

Ummm, duhh lol that's the whole point of a video game movie to be accurate to the game in the first place unlike majority of the movies out now...just in case you haven't noticed.

And, FTR MK one movie is still considered one of the best if not the best video game movie accurate to the actual game's storyline.
