Has there been any lack of coverage from the game magazines?

There have been some shots and 1-page articles about the game, however, the internet has had so much more. EGM and Gampro have not had that much in them. EGM gave it a bad rating, but they are the ones with a rating problem. I haven't seen a Gamepro review yet. Do the magazines even care?

EGM this month did a horrible job with their so called "preview" on Deception. I highly doubt they even checked out the game due to the person who previewed it refered to Hotaru as Cyrax in one of the pictures. (Hotaru was wearing his alternate outfit.) But from what I read of the article, they are looking at Deception as a good upgrade with the Puzzle mode, Konquest mode, and Chess Kombat but feel the fighting system has changed little from Deadly Alliance.

Perhaps if there is too much hype, it could counter attack expectations of the game. Just let things reveal as the release date nears.
Mortal Kombat is the headlining preview of EGM. They sum up the new features of Deception and really the only thing they seem skeptical about is the fighting as it's lacking true core changes.
Anyway, Deception also seems to be the headline review of next months issue, with an in game screen and title highlighted in yellow.

Gaming magazines are a joke. They do have good articles that you can get ONLY in that mag, but overall, the internet is the place to be. I mean, look at this website for instance. Everyday on the message board there is something new to look at for the most part. But mags are at least 3 weeks behind on the news. Gamepro is a joke, EGM goes up and down like a rollercoaster, and a few others are just too damn biased. Internet. Just keep it here. Hell with the mags.

I could honestly live without mags. Internet is has the best coverage. Besides, the information on here is free.

EGM are more of game critics and not game reviewers. Gamers are not gonna notice everything they say about it. I can imagine how it goes down:
Reviewer #1 "OMG, I didn't hit him because he sidestepped out of my way!!! There is no way they can do that to me!!! I give it a 4!!!"
Reviewer #2 "I agree with the above reviewer. 4.5."
Reviwer #3 "You guys suck. It deserves a WAY higher score than that. 5.5."
Plus, EGM are not fans of MK in any shape or form. So expect the review to be biased.
