It was always my belief that Havik was Skab's new name, Skab being nothing more than a bad beta name. I've believed it since Darrius' bio was released. Others dismissed my ideas, saying he was still Skab or was Onaga.

Of course, they are probably the same people who denied that Liu Kang is, in fact, in the game.

It's also possible that could be Havik's alternate. Look at the differences between Shujinko's main costume and his alternate. There are HUGE differences. Same could be with Havik. This could be his alternate. Plus, in the first trailer with fatalities we did see Hotaru's alternate a bit too early also. So it's possible.

Bezou, maybe you've seen some pics that I haven't, but the two that have been posted don't look all that much like the hooded skeleton (as Devastator said). I mean, it's possible and all, but I just can't picture a character looking THAT different between alt and original. So is there actually a pic out there that shows the hooded skeleton with the name Havik under the lifebar, because this pony tail guy is obviously not wearing the same costume as the one formerly called Skab. I see a pic of the guy who used to be called Skab, with the name Havik under his life bar, I'll shut my trap...Right now, it's too tough to judge.

Thanks to those that posted the pics, and thanks to the one that started this thread! I look forward to hearing more about this whole Skab/Havik thing in the coming days.

Now now, we could be wrong and Bezou could be right.
Also there is a big difference in look with Sub-Zero's costumes with the facemask and ponytail.
Also with the 2 costumes we have seen of Hotaru with his normal and in full body armour.

So it is possible that it is him. But i'm going with the idea that it isn't for now.

What? who? where? The way this Skab thing has been going on and on. I just won't believe anything anymore tell I get the game. I don't even think there is a skab anymore. I asked the MK staff about Skab at E3 and they started laughing at me. They said it was a made up name, another rumor. They also said it was started the same way the Mustard and ketchep thing was started about cyrax and sector. I have a strong feeling that skab is just another person, But I don't think it is havik. But then again we could all be wrong. Time will tell 45 more days. Shit if the barnes and noble rumor is true, then the strat guide will be out in another 9 more days. If you have not seen this go online and do a search on the Barnes and noble web site for Mortal Kombat Deception. It says the guide will be out August 28th. So we will see who is who sooner than later. DSB
