Your in the right area. Go to the very bottom of the map, look for a narrow path south of where Havik is. It will lead you to a tent. The chest will appear behind the tent. That is, if you've beaten Konquest mode.

you don't have to wait for any special time. here's a helpful link for everyone... it has all the krypt locations/prizes and special/finishing moves except motaro's moves. the only thing it doesn't list is how to use motaro... to do that, beat the game with any fighter on the hardest difficulty without losing. once you beat onaga, go back to either arcade or versus and highlight scorpion... press and hold square+triangle+R2 (PS2 only) and don't remove your fingers. once the game starts, you're motaro. http://cheats.ign.com/ob2/068/552/552223.html

He should be standing to the north in that alcove area. South of that is the path that takes you to the tent.

Sometimes I think people can be very hasty with these online things. To answer the question, it is time sensitive. You're in the right area and you meet the requirements. It's behind the tent (when you pass havick) and it's after you've defeted konquest. The trick is the time - however, I don't remember what the time actually was. I believe it's 12AM either Wednesday or Monday (loads of stuff to remember). However, if you look closely to yesterday's topics, it was one of them. Just remember that it is time sensitive. yeah you get his alt costume in Edenia in H-5 on the first day of the month at 12 PM!! NOT AM! PM! I was having trouble with that myself but it's only there for a half an hour so what I would do is meditate on the bridge in H-5 until 10AM on the 1st day of the month. Then quickly get up and when it is 12PM run around in the 'treed' area and a chest should be in a sort of hidden area behind a tree, but it's not too hard to find. Good luck.

This is what I have.
- Go to H-6 and find Havik
- Turn and head directly South, you should run into a curve with trees
- Turn West and you shall see a little path
- Follow to path to find the tent
- Wait for the right time and day behind the tent to grab the chest

WHOA! no not earthrealm sorry! it's Edenia! And you have to have the konquest mode completed for it to work.

CRAP! I was walking around (starting at 10AM) on the first day and didn't see anything. Then 12 pm and still didnt' see anything. Well, right around 12:20, I saw something by the tree and ran to it. It was a chest. When I got there, the damn thing disappeared. Looks like I'll have to wait another Game Month :( - I'm waiting right now. On 11.09. Oh well, I have nothing better to do now.
Thanks for helping me find the chest though! I fought lou kang as a ghost, so that's what I expect the alt outfit will be - a ghost of Lui Kang. That would be pretty cool. I was upset in MK:DA when they killed him, nice to see him back as a paranormal being :)
