Hint of reptile being the dragon king

I was just redoing my konquest mode for MKDA and I did Sub Zero's second mission and it said that i had to practice my dragon fighting stance "against a real dragon, Reptile." I just figured that maybe they were trying to hint out a possible relationship between reptile and the dragon king. I hope they're two separate characters though cause i wanna be able to play as reptile.

I do recall that from konquest, true.

The fact that he is depicted as "the prophetic dragon king's return" in his ending helps the case quite a bit aswell I'd say..

Well noticed.
Hopefully at E3 (i doubt that they will) they will reveal if reptile is infact the dragon king.
