There's really nothing I can say better or further than queve has just said. She summoned up everything and a lot more that I wanted to mention when I checked back on the thread here today =)

Just summoning up, Sonya is one of the most unique characters in the game. Not only was she (apparantly unwillingly) chosen as Earth's only female warrior capable of competing in the tournament, but she's been handling that very well since day one, keeping a perfect balance between lending Raiden a helping hand, running the OIA to protect Earthrealm, and going after her own personal interests in the way, which includes the demise of some of MK's most intimidating characters (Kano, Mavado, Sektor, Frost, etc.)

As for her age, it really doesn't even come to mind when you think of the current Sonya. I bet anyone with a funcitonal vision will still find her one of the hottest MK characters (to the extent of how much you CAN find a video-game character hot, but you know what I mean). The outfit plays a major role in any character's look (I mean, Kitana is, what, 10,000 years old and she shows he entire legs - anyone still complaining?) In MKA, if they pay a little more attention to Sonya's look, she can be the one with the best-lookin' pixels in the game. Maybe give her back her MKSM belly piercing? That was cool...

What I'm trying to say is, it's all about what the creators do with the character. Sonya is there, she has all the potential in the world to have an impressive story, impressive looks, and impressive depth. While the creators HAVE built upon some of her many qualities, they have yet to explore her potential to its fullness. Sonya is a full 10, they just gotta show it to the public a little more!

And yes, I agree. The team really needs to work on her storyline to give her the full brightness it disserves. If they plan to bring her back for the future they could start there, finishing everything “classic” here (her obsessive revenge against the criminal clans, save her friends and the world, etc) and giving her the new light/twist for the future next gen consoles.

So much can be done to Sonya, so many twists that could involve stuff from sorcery to actual obscurity.

BTW, I TOO hope they give her the belly piercing she had in MKSM, it looked so awesome and classic! I love it!

Leg Grab and Verticle Bicycle Kick.....NEED TO BE BROUGHT BACKKKKKK!!!!!! She had some craptastic movies in MKDA. But I still kicked ass with her.

Well I'm not one that likes to speculate, since it is pointless since not even the MK Team knows what will happen next.

Anyways still my overall thoughts on Sonya.... She isn't that great imo. She never been really hot ever also, wich is weird since she is suppose to be some kind of bomb shell.... Atleast they seem to try to make her seem like that waht she suppose to be.... Never found her to be really hot.... Anyways I never thought she was that good in any MK she is in to be honest.
