I never liked him but he does look good no matter how i feel about him.
That outfit is probably his alternate his 1st is probably the ghost hence the green pic next to his name.

I'm probably one of the only people that's actually glad to see Liu Kang back. While his turkey mating calls get a little old, I never minded them as much as other people seem to. I don't know if it's that, or the fact that he wins, or whatever, but I'm a bit hazy on why people have such an enourmous amount of hatred for that character.

Oh well, I'm kinda saddened by the fact that he's wearing the same damn pants. Same exact look. I'm almost starting to hope the spirit and zombie ideas are true (regardless of how stupid they both sound) for his alts, just so we see something different. Honestly, we get Rayden extra crispy, Arabian Mileena, bandage boy Ermac and other amazing updates of older characters, and we get the same ol Liu. Well, we'll most likely know soon enough whether the rumors are true.

meh i certainly do not share the excitemet. i have always loathed kang. i did not mind much that he was back as seeing him as a zombie/ghost would be fine. however he looks like the same lamer of the past. thumbs way down. hope his alt. is at least "undead" cuz people with cracked necks should...stay dead. they better not make this as lame as the whole cage is dead oh wait no he is not.

Hmmph! Well, not ONLY does he appear to be completely normal Liu...but he also didn't get a costume update! Same stupid pants he's always worn. *Sigh* Though I suppose this could add to the fact that he's a spirit, being locked in the clothes he died in..so there's hope. We don't know when the footage used was taken from, so it could just be a case of: They hadn't added the spirit effects to his model yet. < *hopes this is the case!*

His avatar/icon on in that clip is completely green.So either thats he's alt or you are right they haven't added the green glow yet,or intentionally switched it off for now.

I know that the idea was tossed around for a while, but I do think the Liu in the video is the alt. They probably wanted his zombie / spirit form for the story, and his alt / original body for the old school fans and everyone else.

My theory is that they showed him in his alternate outfit, so we can be suprised to see what his true form looks like when the game is released.

I think they did this too, possibly if you can choose the original costumes from MK games, they chose to put this on to give us a suprise when we got the game/they showed him in-game. I hope so anyway, but he does look kinda cool now.
