How about downloadable characters?

Now that Final Fantasy XI has sparked the harddrive for the PS2 .. anyone think it would be cool if later down the road you could download additional characters who didn't make the orignal release?

I know it prob won't happen, but think it's a pretty good idea .. it can even go for new fatalties, weapons, etc.

i dont thik thats a good idea but if that actually happens i think it wouldnt be bad

thats an awesome idea. But for sum reason i dont think there will be downloadable chars, prob fatalities and new stuff for Konquest mode like weapons and maybe other styles like u said. And if Mk:D does use the hard drive u could prob download new cloths n stuff for ur fighter.

i think its a great idea..i have been hoping for this cuse.. i have a feeling a few of my favs like kitana aren't in the game=-(

What Jordanman said sounds good.
I don't think that you will be able to download full characters.. maybe just things like alt costumes, weapons and things for konquest.

Sounds good. Perhaps as downloadable expansion packs that includes additional characters, items for the Konquest mode, and arenas. It would increase the re-playablity of the game and give Midway a chance at more profits and time for MK7.

I think for this to happen, they will have to leave blank spaces on the character select screen for downloadable characters.

I'd love to see it become a totally online kung fu game as if it were Unreal Tornament or Quake.

There would have to be some pretty incredible moves.

downloadable content is a great way to fix glitches and add things. should be a standard from now on. xbox live has been doing it forever now and it's perfect. but knowing midway, i doubt they'll even bother.

I wish they had this idea way back with MK: Gold for the Dreamcast .. it had soo many bugs you had to return it back to the store you got it from to get a replacement copy .. the disc was red instead of the gold original. Being able to download a patch would have been a real 1.2.3 done and over with thing.
