What if boon said, smoke and noob are confused into one.
Alot of people think that the picture of smoke is just noobs alt costume.
Kind of fused and confused almost sounds the same.
Thats why he said that they are different characters!

When he said that they were "one" character fused, he may have meant that they have similar fighting styles.

perhaps there might be a tag feature for those two characters, which I think would be awsome.

I wonder what fighting styles they'll be having...*foolishly hopes Noob Saibot to have Gyokushin Ryu Ninpo*

uhh no, under what grounds could Ed Boon sue Gamepro for?

false qouting.
Under some grounds, if you qoute someone, twist the words, then market it, youre suable

What the hell are you talking about ?
You don't think he would have to OK the article before it got printed ?
Also, theres absolutely no ground for libel.
Suing for damages could only happen if Boon could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the mis-quote caused serious harm.
You kids...
Spend more time at school, less time on MK.

Hey! What's that supposed to mean?
And did you make those up to make fun of me or something or are those actual martial arts styles?

Don't be stupid Kid. Ive been playing Mk since before you were sucking on your momma's teat. At least thats how you come off.
Perhaps you would like to explain to me the legal process used for something like that ?
Tell me again, which part of the law would this fall under, and how would damages be proven beyond a reasonable doubt ?
Tell me would this be a civil or criminal action ?
Explain to me, in rough the skeleton procedure for a case like that one ?
And most of all, please tell me what you think Midway (Not Boon, unless he is personally claiming libel against Gamepro) would sue this magazine for ? You see in the real world, you can't just sure people because you don't like what they said or who they are. If that were the case I would be suing you. You actually have to prove that you or your company either incured damage or had their copyright laws violated. Since there is no real damage or violation of copyright laws, this case would never ever be brought to motion. It's not like Midway is going to lose millions or even thousands based on that comment.
Furthermore, Gamepro has been exceptionally good to Midway and Boon. Mortal Kombat has been consitently praised throughout its history, why would they want to sue one of their best supporters over what could be an honest mistake.
This stupidity is not a good sign people.

why do you keep calling me kid? anyway, unless you graduated from college and majored in the subject, and then became a lawyer, and have been a lawyer for 6 years, i don't see why i should listen to you. i have dealt with many situations dealing with magazines who make mistakes, and it happens quite a lot.
o and i don't see how u could possibly be able to play MK that early, unless u created it in the 70's.

Actually this is the first time. This is the first time I have adressed you personally. Perhaps you are thinking of someone else ? Do people hint at your immaturity often ?

Really, which situations, in specific, have you dealt with that relates to the current topic ?

earlier u've stated "you kids..." something like that. that addresses everyone in this thread. o and yes, i think all of us are a little immature, why else would we be playing MK?
yes i have dealt with situations like this, mistaken quotes, or rumors that have been taken as facts. only a couple of times though. i really don't know what my career has to do with noob saibot fusing with smoke though. get back on topic.

Wow, I'll give you all a quarter if you stay on topic and stop with the spam posts. OK?
Anyways, back to the topic. I really hope Noob and Smoke are just two separate characters. I've been waiting for Smoke to return for a long time and I don't want him to come back just to end up fused with Noob Saibot.
