I know it pi**es me off when all the guy does is block so why not stop this with a bar and everytime you block it lowers kinda like the Street Fighter Alpha series. what do u think??

but unlike any other game mk is more realistic on this and every single attack does damage even if the oponent is blocking u can take all his/her energy really fast so a blocking bar is useless

Depends on how's it's implemented. If it's sole purpose is to exhuast the other players guard ability, then no. However, if a meter were to be introduced that managed guard along with other aspects; such as the newly introduced combo break, then maybe. A combo break would deplete meter, as would a constent guard from the player.

I'm a fan of meter if done well. It gives the game a simple avenue to exploit depth, giving the player more to manage and develop into their game.

Though, with the chip damage that MK already has, there really isn't a need for a guard meter. It's just that the player needs tools to abuse that chip damage. As an example, DA did not provide adequite tools. I think if a proper movement and tech system were implemeted such would be a different case, however.

since the fighter takes damage for blocking, a guard meter is not needed. if someone chooses to sit and block the whole time then good news for you cuz they will be dead eventually unless they move.

I'm thinking more along the lines of guard breaks.

So it does damage when they block anyhow. You're going to win the fight.

I don't really like another bar. I never liked the Run bar back in MK3.

The only time a person can block everything is if they are crouching away and blocking. To counter this I would rather see an overhead attack that cannot be blocked if you are crouching.

It obviously couldn't work on a standing opponent that is blocking, but this is where the sweep comes in handy.
