Kahn IS dead. According to Reptile's Konquest mode, he found the Emperor's dead body when he returned from Kitana's base camp.

But that doesn't mean he can never come back. Look at it this way: Scorpion, when he was alive, was a ninja, which is a rather evil occupation. He was killed and went to the Netherealm. Kahn was the evil emperor of Outworld, another evil occupation. Sine he's dead, where do you think he went? THE NETHEREALM!

Now here's the catch: Scorpion, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Moloch, and Drahmin have all at one point or another been imprisoned in the Netherealm, and all have returned. Shinnok was freed by Quan Chi's amulet, Quan Chi discovered a portal out of their, Moloch and Drahmin followed, and so did Scorpion (in MKDA anyway; I dunno exactly how he got out in the first place). So who's to say Kahn will never find a way out?

There's a difference though in how each of them ended up in the netherealm. Shinnok was banished there not killed, Quan Chi went on his own accord, not killed (if he could get in why couldn't he get out). Moloch was born and raised there and Drahmin, well the only thing we have to go on is his concept art pic, which states that he was banished there and transformed in to the Oni tormentor. Scorpion and Kahn are the only two to be killed and there souls sent there (assuming Khan's soul was even sent there). Scorpion's body was destroyed and he was given a knew one by either Quan Chi or shinnok. Then they SENT him back to Earthrealm (again, if they could set someone free, why not free themselves). I doubt Khan will be so lucky...unless? Shao Kahn...Shinnok...Deadly Alliance PART 2!! grin

Shao Kahn's dead, and I hope he stays that way.

I didn't mean when Quan CHi went there to free Shinnok, I meant when Scorpion took him there after MK4.

And I'm not saying Kahn will come back the same way as any of them; my point is, once someone's there, they CAN get out. And I know it was never stated that Kahn went there, but it seems like common sense to me.

First off, Shang COULD NOT take Kahn's soul. Its the other way around. And I truelly doubt Kahn even has a soul. And the only reason why Shang and Chi beaten him was because he was weakened. had the Emperor been at normal strength he would have beaten the 2 lesser villains.

And Kahn Is not dead. Midway hinted that in the last chat. So whether we seen Kahn again or not he's very much alive

actually, the konquest stories make sense
i dont know why they wouldn't

and i hope kahn stays dead
brining that loser back would be as lame as bringing kang back

shao kahn was a lsoer villian that never one
unlike quan chi, which is cooler and was able to get the amulet and ally with tsung and kill lie kang

shao kahn is old news and should only make a cameo in someone's ending when they go to hell

Shang Tsung can't take Kahn's soul because I just said I don't believe Kahn even has one. Even if he did I think Kahn would hold extra secrets just to prevent himslef from being vulnerable to any of his treacherous warriors.

Shao Kahn isn't a loser Villain. He is the best of all MK Villains until we see what the Dragon King is like.

and i think quan chi got out of mkda alive..of course the DK will kill him and shang tsung instantly for obvious reasons

What do you mean "almost"? According to MK Mythologies, Quan Chi got Sub 0 to kill Scorpion in the first place, which is why Scorpion killed Sub in MK1...unless you're just referring to MK4...

sub-zero really did kill scorpion

scorpion wasn't tricked into killing sub-zero

but in mk4, scorpion was told that sub-zero killed his family, when in reality it was quan chi

Well how about Reiko? No, I'm not trying to say that they are the same person. I'm saying that perhaps Kahn died, but a part of him still lived on. (an essence) And perhaps Reiko was once a person who worked for Shao Kahn. And maybe Reiko could be a vessel for Kahn's return. But then again, I don't see that happening.

I agree. Quan is way better. Kahn was a dude w/ a thing on his head. I hope he stays dead.

Also, i dont really know the story w/ dk, what is he going to do when he returns? Does he wanna take earth? Do we even know. Does anyone know what blazes mission is. if dk comes back, he will be free to "finish the mission..."

First off Kahn IS NOT A LAME VILLAIN!!!! He wasn't dfeated in MK2. His warriors were beaten. Liu Kang's ending says he killed him and that's not true because he's still alive after that. He was beaten by the Earth realm warriors in MK3 and was presumably slain in MKDA.

Quan Chi is no where near the league of MK villains like Kahn.

he warriors lost in mk2

that means he failed
his plan failed and he lost
he lost again in mk3
he was too lame to be in mk4
and he was killed in mkda by much cooler villians

as said before, kahn is like the lord zed of mortal kombat

he looks cool but fuck ups all the time

Ok here is what I think happens, no one knows for sure if Kahn is dead, but Ed did hint that Kahn isnt out for good. I think Kahn may be alive, perhaps Reiko's ending in MK4 suggests he is Kahn's decoy, and in the beginning of MKDA Shang Tsung and Quan Chi killed Reiko and not Kahn. Who knows.
