if you have the old version of the ps2 you need an adapter and an ethernet cable , from there you configure the settings .

the new ps2 already has internet and doesnt need an adapter , you can also use a router .

what so hard about taking your ethernet cord from your computer and hook it up to your PC?

some ppl have never done this before .

I know but still man, if I could make a video of doing this, it would probably be less then 5 seconds long.

I use DSL and got rid of our dial-up connection, so would it work if I used a phone cord and plugged it in???

Phone cords dont transfer data nearly as fast. It wont work

You need an RJ-45 cable that plugs into either your DSL Modem, Router, or bridge.

My configuration is something like this.


Modem ------- Router ------ Wireless Ethernet Bridge ------ PS2

So yeah, I'm pretty much wireless... xD

Hehe mine's an ethernet cable. Looks like a phone cable but it's totally different as far as functions.

The cable goes from:

PS2 > router > modem.

I'm pissed because the ethernet cable I bought was a double package and I can't find the other one.
