I had the same problem dude, turn off your PS2, then turn off your Modem, disconect the ethernet cord and the cable line, wait 10 seconds, then connect it back and turn on your modem, after that, turn on your PS2 and it should be working fine.

yup it worked. besides the ps2 part. for the most part, when i restart my ps2 now, the disk wont read. this is entirely new up until today. thats my luck though, im used to it.

i got it installed... i used AOL as my service provider so if i only see half stars again now i know that was the culprit to all my connection problems. which according to the guy who installed cable today. AOL KILLS COMPUTERS... apparently.

so it remains to be seen, but i guess this can be closed now. the modem itself is giving me problems, its not always staying connected... now.. but i just did it again ( plug/unplug ) and it worked...

at least i got cable ;)

and glen, i think youre supposed to power down the modem everytime you unplug it, so i think its normal, but ima find out tommorow and ill post.

good practice dave. very interesting indeed. great call about when the stars were dropping from 3 to 0. i need to fix that. aol is most likely what is causing it, but nonetheless. everything was much more like offline.

the scary part is i cant do any of the combos i used to. for the most part.

11233 sektor/taven/cyrax/sindel etc all gone. cant do it. there goes a good part of my cast

scorpion combo much harder, much slower to do

i can finally sidestep. im happy
