How do you get better?

I've had the game for about a week and it can't seem to get any better. I have a hard time just beating the bosses at the end of novice globe. How do i get any better?
I found going into practice mode with your favourite character and practicing every combo and trying to make up your own is quite fun and really pays off.

test yourself. When I can complete a globe on a certain level more than 3 times without being defeated anymore than 5 times, I move onto the next difficulty.

Like someone else already stated... go into practice mode and practice the characters good combos. Also try to find out some juggles, as they are extreamly helpful as well.

You have to find out the weaken of your opponend. You can beat Moloch, only if you "go into" the Background, wait 'til he wants to beat you and give him a combo.
