Me to bro, i'm so happy that smoke is finally back. I also perfer his ninja form rather than his cyborg form. I would love to see him looking more on the ninja side, except totally different and unique with metal plates and armor. I would also love to see him looking half cyborg half human, all disfigured and corrupted.

But smoke will not be human or cyborg in MKD. He will be himself, which is smoke. Maybe his alternates will be something along the ninja or cyborg side.

If he is just smoke I don't see how he can hit anyone, other than choking people. Which is why I find that info to be BS.

You never know. What if alot of the smoke is actually formed to the state where he is able to hit and punch like a normal being. Plus, he can also be like blaze, pretty much a form of a human(or a human under the lava), with smoke shrounded all over him that you couldnt even tell what he is under. Remember, this is MK anything is possible.

i believe it was said that he'll be neither human or cyborg but i believed this to mean that he'll be a half/half deal similiar to cyrax's alt in MK:DA (lets hope it looks better then that) but i could be wrong in this assumption mabye he is just smoke but that dosen't make much sense to me we'll have to wait for a screen shot or a render and see

When i think of Smoke in MK:D, I get an image of an all gray version of Blaze from MK:DA.

But really... I just want a blue and/or gray version of Cyrax from MK:DA, But emminating with smoke.

IMO Smoke looking something like that would be pretty sweet. With the added smoke, the ninja veil over his face, some robotic arm and leg pads, and the ghaustly eyes, i think smoke would look pretty cool like that. well i dunno how he should look, but i hope he has unique fatalities, no cutting off limbs or beating people with their bodyparts, etc.. that gets boring fast, his fatalities could be...

1. he puts his hands together in a triangle, and closes his eyes, then begins chanting, and smoke will start forming in his hands and slowly float over to the confused, and yet, terrified opponent, the smoke will gently float up into their nose and mouth, choking them, then they begin coughing and their lungs explode, blowing their chest to pieces, they they fall over in a bloody pool as their lungs [which you should be able to see i think] dangle in their chest as 2 bloody pulps...

2. he places his hands together and smoke quickly gathers into his hands forming a ball, then he fires it like a blast, it hits the opponent, and carries them up into the sky, it then changes to a camera angle behind smoke, os you can see his face, shoulder, and some of his back and arm, he then laughs maniacally and says ''goodbye'' as it switches back to his opponent screaming loudly as the ball of smoke explodes, quickly switching back behind smoke, we see a huge explosion in the sky, and it begins raining blood and guts

those would be so cool...

Imagine a Borg in a grey smoking ninja suit....lol that is how I would see him. Just kinda part human, part...well..messed up.
I had one concept sketch I did of him a while back. His right arm was all metal/skeleton like, and shot out a spear much like Scorpions. But instead of a spear, it was a live wire where, upon contact with the enemy, would shock them, zapping them into the sky for a few seconds, setting up a potential for a nice juggle combo (kinda like Rain's thunderbolt throwing an opponent into the air).

Another possible outfit I would like to see would be his human ninja form as a ghost, playing on the bio from MKT where it said his human form now exists only as a memory.

I've always said, half-human, half-cyborg. You get the gist.

Here are two fatalities I've pictured:

Smoke Innhalation (Obviously):

Placing a hand over their mouth and nose, smoke uses his powers to fill their lungs with you-know-what. Choking, they manage to break away and fall back, waving their hands around their faces. Smoke does it again, this time placing his other hand at the back of their skull, to prevent their escape. As they choke, and try to kick and break free, he kicks them in the back of the knees, forcing them to kneel. Standing behind them, he silently continues his work, we hear muffled screams and gasps, until they finally go limp. He keeps his hold for a second longer, and finally kicks their body to the ground at the back, keeping his foot there in triumph.

The Shrouding Fog:

Spreading his arms wide, Smoke uses his power to blanket the immediate area in a thin fog. We can barely see the silhouette of the enemy inside stumbling around blindly. Smoke produces a sharp weapon (haven't decided what, yet), and dashes inside the fog. We see the his silhouette pass by the enemy's with great speed, hear a slice, and an arm goes flying off, landing in the visible area. A scream, then he does it again. Another arm, another scream. Then he does it four more times in quick succession (like within half a second), and we see two legs, and finally a head fall out of the fog. It dissapates to show smoke standing in victory over his opponent's bleeding torso, cut in two down the middle.

those fatalites sound cool, but i still think mine would be better for smoke

(old shang tsung fatality in MK2) smoke turns into a cloud of smoke, travels into the opponents body, the body starts to shake, then smoke transforms back into human/cyborg form, exploding the person. i would love to see that in 3-d.

I think if Smoke is going to be made out of smoke, he will just be kind a of ethereal looking Lin Keui. I think Logically he should be a Cyber Ninja though.

I know he probably just had a normal human face, but I always wanted to see an official picture of smoke's face. We've seen Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Noob Saibot, Cyrax, Mileena, and Kitana's faces. I really want to see Ermac, Smoke, and Rain's faces, just out of curiousity.

I'm really curious how Smoke will turn out. I'm assuming he'll either be a etheral Lin Kuei warrior made of smoke or still some kind of cyborg, with the whole new form rumors turning out to be false/adandoned.

A part of me believes Smoke's new form is true, but another part of me thinks its someone down the insider line's idea of a joke/deception. Konqrr has even admited to trying to decieve us once, passing off an old Li Mei photo as Kitana for awhile.

A ruse like claiming Smoke has changed forms yet again is both believable and wouldn't be as poorly recieved as say, confirming false returning characters, when it became exposed.
