I just have a few questions on this game mode.

1) How many pieces make a combination?
2) What special peices are there?
3) What is the special bar?

Anything one who can explain the Puzzle system and how it works would be appreciated.

I don't think anyone knows. Its susposed to play like Archon(haven't played it) I don't know what has to be done or anything. When I get the game I'll check out the instruction manual that comes with it. I'll do that for chess too(never played chess either)

1) Theres an unlimited amount of pieces to make a kombonation. To make they peices go away you will use the Mk logo of that certain color

2)The special piece is the Game Breaker. Its a black MK Logo and it destroys all the pieces of that color it toches (ex. it it lands on blue it destoys all blue regardless of position on your side of the board)

3)When the special bar is full U are able to Put more peices on your opponents side or take away peices on your side (ex. Press kombonation Scorpion does his spear move and U lose half of the peices on your board.

Hope I helped

I will try and sum it up for you to the best of my ability..

-the main goal is to take the pieces and match them directly with the colors that are present.

-Ocasionally there are breaker pieces that come down and knock out some of the same color(these pieces are the dragon logo and come in the color of the pieces)

-There is a piece called the bomb and when you drop it on a certain color, it eliminates all of that suite.(this is believed to be the most powerful of them all)

- Each character has a special move that effects the gameplay some how(example ermac has the levitate move, which takes 2 rows away form your side and puts it on the opponents.) I am not sure how these work.

- A fight is always moving at the bottom of the screen with mini-kombatants, and ALWAYS ends with a unique Fatality.(1 ton weight, grinder, snake bite ect.) When a column fills up to the top, that person looses

Hope that helps ya out somehow.

That helped me. Lol I think that the gamebreaker doesn't work on your person you picked. The special button I think(r1) you will press and it randomly chooses from things like the drill
Where it scrambles the colors on your opponents board and stuff like that. I don't think it ties to the character you pick.

It does tie to the character U pick. Ed Boon said it himself on an interview. Depending on which character U pick U either and more to your opponents board or scramble your opponents board. U can also take away pices from your board.

Heres a link to a video all on Puzzle Kombat. And it seems I was wrong. Everyone threw a fireball. Probably cause of early development. Heres the link:

all i can say is a few things and i'll leave it like that. the puzzle mode does indeed play alot like puzzle fighter (a helluva lot grin). and if u want to play that then u can get it on ps1, saturn, and mame. the only thing different about the 2 is the special moves used in mk's puzzle mode and those fatalities. so if u get to play puzzle fighter and like it, then u'll like mk's puzzle game (i like it gringrin).
