Kung Lao: How can he not be in MKD? He was one of the best fighters in MKDA (and my fav) and also had the best ending imo. I would be surprised not to see him at LEAST as a hidden.

Frost: I doubt we've seen the last of her, and many people (me included) liked her look, moves, fighting style etc. If she becomes less of a Sub Zero clone, and more of her own character I wouldnt be surprized to see her in MKD.

Reptile: I've just got a feeling, that although Reptile has probably become the DK, his classic ninja look will return, or even a revamped version of his MKDA look.

Skab: Well he may be on the select screen, but if he's not I he'll obviously be hidden.

Kira / Kobra: Same as above.

Jarek, Drahmmin, Jade, Fujin: Well since we've seen them in the Prison, they most likely are hidden playable fighters.

Dairou: Well Hotaru needs a story, and Dairou sounds/looks awesome, so I hope he is in the game as a hidden.

(one version of) Smoke: One of Smoke's cyborg / human / 'real' smoke looks will be hidden imo.
-Oh and Mavado, Kitana and Sektor (if he's not immediately selectable.)

I would of named the ones SUbzila did maybe not all i don;t care if theres 2 or 1 as long as Rain's one of them.

I think there will be about 8 secret characters in the game. I doubt secret characters will be characters from the main story line like Sonya, Jax or kano. I think they'll be more like the fan favorites that arent already on the character select screen possibly like Rain, Reiko, or just one time characters. I think about half of those characters will be new characters. No hidden characters will be old bosses or the Dragon King. The hidden characters may have the sub boss available too.

In the newest GamePro magazine they said there will be a torrent of hidden characters. So I'll say 5 or more characters.

The number of hidden characters is acceptable, the choices are not. Rain- Terrible story, terrible moves, terrible fatalities, TERRIBLE costume. Boo, keep him away from me. On top of that, I go by his ending and think that he went on a suicide mission. Of course, he failed since Rain himself is a failure. I'm not sure if you guys are aware or not, but Rain has almost as little signifigance of such characters as Chameleon or Mokap. Sheeva- Dead, they even said so in Konquest. Who would I want instead? Hmm..maybe people in the prison. New, unknown characters are always welcome too.

I thought up this cool koncept caracter that could replace rain. My characters name is quake, and he is a user of Earth powers. He would have a brown luin kuei ninja suit on. I made this character, because I think that Mortal Kombat should have something fresh and new.

I've read atleast three interviews from Ed Boon, He said there will be atleast 28 playable characters, I'm hoping for Rain to come back, he's been away for far too long, I would like to see him with a new outfit though!! I'm also hoping to see Reiko, Jarek, and hopefully a new Red Dragon member. Have you guys heard anything about a new Red Dragon Member?

Hey metus say what you want. You probably never played as Rain or couldn;t beat him when the computer was him or you never played a game with him in it. If you did no one cares about your opinion on rain and like were gonna listen to you. Also the guy who made quake people that don;t like rain is because there are already 2 many ninjas. So ev everyone would hate your guy. But what I don;t understand Ermac and Rain came at the same time Ermac being a mistake so they're both ninjas.

Also everyone who thinks Rains dead how do you know it said it was a suicide mission because he was going after Kahn and his men. It never said he failed. His story was good he was after Kahn because he killed his father. His moves were awesome he had the lightning bolt which woul dbe cool in 3D and the water orb thingy which you could control you oponent. His fatality was awesome too all the lightning bolts coming in and then they blow up. They also said everyone was in konquest and then said Rain was in konquest I think this maybe a hint you can unlock him and if you don;t like him don;t unlock him I'll whoop your ass with him online tho. yes it seems that rain is in everyones hidden character list. but when it comes to the red dragon members it doesnt look good cause there has been no mention of any at all.....but this game is supposed to have alot of deception maybe one of the new characters is working for the red dragon but is in disquise! my theory is kano will be a hidden character and kira the other black dragon member will actually be a red dragon member!

Well I think that the 24 boxes on the sleect screen will have 2 characters assigned to it. They will be the original 24, and to get the others u will have to press Start or something like that. I reckon all the other Deadly Alliance characters will be there and some others.

It said word for word in his ending that it was a suicide mission. If he didn't fail his suicide mission, then how come Kahn was still alive? He was going after Kahn wasen't he? There is more evidence that he died rather than he lived. Unless he chickened out on the way, or some other lame reason.

I'm hoping that the Prison Stage characters are the hidden characters (that would really out-beat MK2 like they r planning to do - since Kano and Sonya was never playable; makes a lot of since out of the temptation of seeing them and since the Prison Stage prisoners are supposed to be inneractive as well like we learned in the beginning, they should have certain moves as well!) I hope they r:

There will be 13 secret characters atleast.


Each realm has two boss characters in Konquest; When you beat them, they become playable characters. There are 6 realms so that's 12 characters.

Contrary to belief, Shujinko is NOT on the player select screen (Ed Boon told |ombat this.)
Shujinko is the 13th unlockable character.

This adds upto 37 characters; That's something of an awkward number, and it's my belief they might push it upto 40 characters. Add the boss and the sub-boss, and MK Deception will be a 42 kombatant game.

There's already a character like that in MK:Special Forces and his name is Tremor.

Also I think Rain would do better this time around. Even though he isn't that important, Rain is still more important then Mokap and Chameleon since he did have a story. Also as much as I hate to say it, Rain is as important as Noob Saibot if you think about it. Up until MKT/UMK3 ports, Noob Saibot had no story and was nothing more then a shadow, who was finally playable in home ports when Rain was, except for the UMK3 Wavenet version which Noob was playable in. But even then Noob Saibot had no story.

Anyways, I hear alot of people wanting a Red Dragon member to join the character list. I thought Kira(sp?) was a Red Dragon female, unless she was taken out or is a Black Dragon female member.

Either way she sounds kool. A regular tough chick with maybe a small sexy red eye and a bad attitude to match Sonya's would rock. Boy would they clash. Cat fight anyone? Lol

dont see sheeva oming back because well shes dead and wasnt that big of a role player and i havent seen the shots of jade and the guys in the prison.id like to see them if anyone has them.o yea they should give shao a break which they are. shao is coming back but not in deception which in my opinon is a good thing.

Sheeva might be back even if she died...just look at Liu Kang!
