How many koffins should be in the krypt this time?

I'd like to see maybe 200 max. I think they should all contain alternate costumes for everybody and maybe extra arenas and possibly some top secret characters.

I just hope there is less "extra" stuff this time around than in MKDA, although I liked most of that stuff!

What do you all think?

It depends on what they have to give to us really. They should fill as much as they think is worth fillinga s long as there decent stuff in them. Unlockable Fatalities, stages, characters and bios and stuff. I'm not really fussed about how big it is really.

I hope there's alot, as long the coffins you open are really worth it. I don't want to see character sketches, and fan art. I don't mind opening up new characters, videos, costumes, the history of the fighting styles, and hints to the upcoming MK7 game.

Im thinking about half of that, i wasnt a fan of the "can o squid" kind of things, btu i really liked the concept arts, and the renders, as well as the previous games type things. i also liked the empty koffins, even thoguh i would spend money to see nothign revealed, but this was a great part of it, being able to hear that laugh as you discover nothing, god MKD is going to own

well.. according to the psm issue.. it said that there will be koffins of the same da.. except they are going to be 6 diffrent portals/realms/demintions..

so thats say aa-zz*6... dam thats alot of koffins..

I think that the koffins should also have dud items in them. It makes it more exciting to open them.

It's silly just to give all good stuff!

Also, I highly doubt that they will put any of the items that were in MKDA koffins into this game. So that would wipe out alot of the crappy comics and other items.

But in saying that, there will be plenty of other useless stuff to put in there.

Maybe not as many as AA - ZZ though. That was ALOT! and probably too much

Didnt it say that there wont be as much koffins as they were in DA? I dont really mind, i just hope if there are less koffins, then they should be more expensive and have cooler stuff.

I bet there going to give stuff for your monk in Konquest like costume pieces that would be cool but only if they didn't make 10 Koffins with 10 color verations of the same costum piece

The number of Koffins doesn't matter, but it should be all about expanding the MK universe. With each new MK, the game gets bigger in every way. So the Koffins should contain bigger and better things. Maybe not just hidden stages, characters, costumes, fan art (which are all really cool), but things that actually affect the game play, which IS the most important thing. Like, what about all of those secret options from past MK's, like regenerating health bars, each move doing 1/2 damage, and the "Agressor" meters (from MKTrilogy)? And, once unlocked, the player has the option to keeping these moved on or off--makes for excellent replay value.

Also, I think the Koffins would be a great place to unlock new and old finishing move types. Like they could put in Animalities, Babalities, Friendships, and Brutalities for each character, but they'd have to be unlocked. I know a lot of people protest to these finishing moves, but I always believe game elements can be upgraded and be a lot better.

Add secrets to the Koffins to mess with the game play or add diffrent rules and stipulations Tag team mode

Weapons Kombat

a type of Iron Man fight where there is a time limit to get the most wins in a single round the playere with the most wins get to do the fatality or something like that

a side note i have about 20 sum left yeahhhh!! and i got pissed when there was nothing there but it was pretty cool though and i hope they dont have cheesy soundeffects. and i liked all the extra stuff. but the idea of unlocking TOP SECRET characters and fatalitys and stuff like that would be tight. FATALITY

As many as you can fit! Having more koffins makes you play the game longer.

What the need to do is put hidden fatality and break the combintion buttons.
(e.x. back,back,down,back,A )can all be in seperate koffins! That's already five koffins you have to unlock.

Do you get what I'm saying?

As many if not more than the koffins in DA. I want Koffins with all sorts of stuff, some good, some bad and some fucking amazing. Nothing can beat the anticipation of opening a koffin that you worked so hard to open, even if it did turn out to be a dud.

The Krypt is one of the BEST additions in a fighting game or any game for that matter.

Some of you guys may not believe this, but I still haven't unlocked all of the koffins in MK:DA yet, and I bought the game the day before it was supposed to actually be released!

Why haven't I unlocked them all yet?

Well, personally I just got bored with the game. I loved the graphics, new gameplay, and all that.. but I found it very disappointing that it didn't even take a week for some of you gamers on here to open all the koffins and discover that there wasn't a whole lot to get excited about. I liked the unlockable characters and different costumes.. and that was about it.

So this time around, I say keep the same number of koffins, but put more and better stuff in there. Also, have the best ones be even more expensive than they were in MK:DA. It seemed quite a few of you thought of this, and I completely agree.

Empty koffins are cool, koncept art is cool, videos are cool.. but the comic book sucked, the memorabilia stuff sucked, and the pictures of the dudes in different fighting stances sucked. I want things that are interesting or helpful. I don't want to win a handful of fights and perform well at test your might or sight, only to unlock a picture of an MK lunchbox.

I would definitely like to see only 200 max...because out of the 666 in MKDA, only about 100 were worth opening. And this time, I don't want to see the developer's mug shots or pictures of their favorite lunches...I want alternate costumes or color schemes, different modes, new arenas, and worthwhile stuff, like maybe story elements. Basically, something worth playing the game hours on end for.

i would like to see zero..this game does not need the koffins...it already has online play so the replay value will be high!!! the koffins where just a waste of time..all the secrets should be in the adventure mode...
