I don't think that's enough

it's safe to say with the success of Deadly Alliance (which was very much needed) .. that there will be at least 2 or 3 more .. any after that depends on the money those make .. and of couse the money will increase if Boon and the team make sure they deliver solid games that aren't rushed and filled with cloned characters.

Infinite. Unless the series is driven into the ground repeately, or Midway goes under, even then at the rate MK is going some other company would be quick to pick up the franchise. Long-lived video game series tend to live forever.

I think this is the second to last. I love the series, but arent they having money problems? well if they are they will probably make a 7 which will be another trilogy with all the characters....hopefully.

From what I hear Midway IS having money problems. There was a rumor a while back that Microsoft would buy Midway...that pissed off a lot of people because you know they feared the company would make it Xbox-only. The reason MK has lasted as long as it has is because of its fan base and uniquness. Other games fear copying from MK because of this. Notice, no other fighting game has blood in it(I don't know what the hell that stuff is in Tekken). And Boon is making it even harder to stay in the competition with Deception and its vast improvements and new things. Once again, MK is paving the way for fighting games. The companies that make Tekken and SC may just wait until the PS3 and Xbox 2 come out so they will have a greater impact.

IMHO, as long as Midway is up and running and people still buy MK games like they did with DA, then the game can last until Mortal Kombat 10. Boon even said as long as people still buy the game, then they'll keep making them. It's a series that can go on and on, why because it changes. Unlike games like SC and Tekken which will eventually go under if they don't make big changes. Like, there will be a big differance between DA and Deception.

What sucks is that they won't stop. I want the series to end eventually, but it never will. The characters will just continue to evolve and go on and on and....dude, it might get driven to the ground.

Its all dollars an cents.But if for any reason say midway has a set number of copies to be sold an didnt make it I just hope they will make just one more instead of just dropping it.Like the final of all final showdowns were there is no tomorrow for any one.Go blazing sorta speak.
