How many outfits are there?

People have been telling me that there are three different outfits, per character. When was this confirmed? It has been a while, but I was just reading a post and I saw it and I want to see where this was confirmed. If anyone can help me out, it is most appreciated.
I think they confirmed three.

true, but id rather buy outfits than pictures of people doing things that could pass for a wild night at grandmas in kentucky third floor of the motel 6.
