i got both versions of it just today... i mean preorder... and the in store release date is the 5th not the 4th thats the shipping to store date

yes it does ship on the 4th but if you are close to where they come from you may still get it on the 4th.Like when ninja gaiden came out i remember getting it on the day it shiped and i live in fl,but they got it in faster cause it was coming in on a plane.

hmm i preordered from ebgames.. so of course i didn't and eb games should have something for free when it comes out.. so no worries there... plus there are always the offical website lol to get the char info.. lol..

how it works is you pre-order the thing, then wait here, someone will get it then tell everyone how it works, whats in it, and if its worth it, u buy it, if not, u cancle the pre-order, get ur cash back, and buy the regular version

I'm not going to get it until I find out if it's worth it or not. $60 bucks isn't something you just blow away (in my case at least).

So... is the Collector's Edition pre-order only?

Its for PS2 as well? Wow, I'm gonna try and pre-order it soon, then. This fall is gonna be very expensive... With the DS (yes, I'm probably getting it), this MK and midway arcade treasure hits 2. I'm also planning for Pokemon fire red, since its an awesome RPG game and my old red version is screwed up anyway (I used that code on that island, and actually caught the pokemon...)

Same here. I never preoder a game since no matter what they tell you or you think, there is always extras the day it comes out.

But I am going to be buying the Collector's Edition of MKD, since I want all the extra goddies they have for $10 extra.

Can youjust buy the special eddition or do you HAVE to pre-order it? I think you have to pre-order it.

I'll pre-order it at the end of this month cause its my birthday and normally i just get money so ill do it all probally on the the 25 or the 26 haha ill be 18 on the 24th!!!

I really hope you don't have to pre-order it.. I've had bad experiences with pre-ordering games in the past, especially when it comes to bonus goodies...

I went to Gamestop yesterday to ask if they had the Special Edition offer and they said that they did.

Then they told me that it only costed five dollars to reserve a copy if I wanted it, and so I gave them my $5.

Next, they asked if I wanted it for XBOX or PS2, and I told them PS2 and they printed up my receipt.

So even though the Gamespot and Gamestop websites only mention the Special Edition for the XBOX, it should be available for the PS2 as well. At least I hope so. If not, I'll be mad as hell. I don't want to have to buy the XBOX just for this. That would be stupid! Especially since the game is only being released on these two systems. If they do it for one, they should do it for the other.

Yea i went to EB games yesterday and they said that if u want a collectors edition, u have to reserve it ASAP because they only make a little bit of them and they wont have them in stock, u HAVE to preorder them...thanx for the info about reserving it w/ $5, i didnt know that! thanx, now i need to go back....and the weird thing about it is that the guy said that the collectors edition will get there on october 5, not the 4th...hmmm
