I'm sure he is.. He was never confirmed for the other ones since MK4. I rememebr checking for specifically him and it showed pics of everyone but him..so I wouldn't rule out an appearance in Mortal Kombat 6, guys..

I hope Johnny Cage doesnt make it in MKD, and i've got a massive feeling that he wont be. IMO Johnny isnt an important character at all despite him being one of the "originals".

I think your logic is fundamentally flawed. Raiden has nothing special to do with Johnny cage on a one on one level, so your comparison is based on meaningless trends.

plus, he has been in every MK except mk3... he's a classic.

Raiden doesn't appears in MK3/UMK3 for the events, but the death of Johnny Cage wasn't by the original storyline, but so that they fired Daniel Pesina before the MK3.

Anyway, Raiden is still unconfirmed for the MKDeception.

There is a connection between the two characters, if only a small one. It was Raiden who agreed to resurrect Johnny Cage's soul during MK4, and it was Johnny Cage who requested it to Raiden, in order for him to help his friends fight off Shinnok. With Raiden now officialy dead/mortal, Johnny Cage could surely show up to try and find out what happened to his friend and savior.

Honestly, everything you have said in all of your postings I agree 100%. You are the man and an asset to this site.

I think Cage shud come back and he shud get a better story besided making another Mk movie. He shud come back to MKD cuz they need more mortals, but on the other hand, he never has a cool story....he doesnt really have enemies or rivals, so theres no point to bringing him, but if they give him a new story that wud be ok..... I wud prefer Sonya instead of him tho, since now that they have a female black dragon member, sonya can have an awesome catfight~

Raiden isn't officially anything. It's one sentence and we have no clue what it truly means. As for Cage, no one knows.

As far as we know Raiden's Bio could simply be part of the opening Sequence where he "Sacrifices Himself" and boom gone. This game appears to focus more on Edenia and not on Earth. So there is no reason to have Johnny "I've been dead forever but still seem to appear in every friggin game" Cage to appear in yet another MK game. Raiden and Sonya IMO are the only Earth Fighters that have a good story, Jax has been ok.
Unless they completely revamp Johnny, his story is STALE and he's not needed. He's dead he's back He's dead He's Back. Prove yourself prove yourself. Guess what Johnny you haven't proven yourseld to Hollywood in over a decade......Let It Go. You're technically dead, let your soul move on, we seem to have your replacement ready in Ben/Kobra anyway. Sorry guys I've just never understood the reason for Johnny Cage and still don't. He has not once been a major storyline contributor. This is all my opinion so please don't get all snappy.

johhny cage is, in fact in the game, in one of the preview movies, you can see him be kicked into the giant smelter and be crushed, he is in his old stance, his hair is longer, hes there to stay i guess, i think people only liked him from the MK movie, thats the only time i really liked his character.....

Johnny Cage is one of the most original and powerful character Mk has. He has many haters, but even more fans who support him!

As much as I like him though, (and I do think that’s an interesting theory BTW, ) I don’t think we will see him in this game.

Not to worry though! Johnny Cage is one of the very few characters who have managed to be in most mk games, he has some of the most amazing special moves and deadliest fatalities! And even though his story is stale and old, it can very well change and improve. And news to everyone, that is not a reason to get rid of him, since there are other popular characters in the very same boat.

So, Johnny Cage will be back, but not in this game.
