They have their own opinions too. Even I beat Bo users a lot, so it's not some higher tier strategy that is unstoppable for me, i just don't enjoy it. If you honeslty think you're on a higher plateau because you beat most with 2 moves, then I think you're not really as superior as you think you are. Anyway, this is old and i'm goin to Hollywood. KilaB,back to your big post.At the end,it doesn't even matter why HB is cheesing or why he plays the way he does.He's simply found a glitch in the game,and he's abusing it for whatever reason.All you need to understand that the shit he does is in the game,and he can abuse it if he likes to.

I also have a question... You've complained about MKD being so broken, and it seems after reading that article that many others are too, but why should that matter if experts all agree that the "over the top" glitches are not to be used? AKA infinites etc? If they're banned at tournaments, and you can't use them, why can't you consider MKD a good competitive fighting game?

It's not just about glitches.This game is too much 50/50 mix ups.Too much randomness.I don't know if you've ever played a high level N/S,Darrius,Hotaru,Ashrah,etc. but playing them is like flipping a coin;it's guessing between a mid move and a throw over and over again.If you played some of these characters and they used pure 50/50 mix ups,I'd guarantee you that you'd be whining as much as you whine about HB's BRC.To make matters even worse,you got all these free throws and infinite combos.Players will NOT play crap like this competitively especially if there's something much more tested and better,and there is (VF,Tekken,DoA,etc.).

I'm reading this, and there is one thing m2dave, Yayo nor the article can explain, at least not as far as MKD is concerned.

As you may know, I'm a PS2 player in PAL zone. While not the best, I think I might well be among the best 20 players out there. I have passed the stage of being a 'scrub' with self-invented rules long ago*, but that doesn't mean that someone who throws me 10 times in a row doesn't annoy or anger me. Furthermore, I strongly disagree that in many cases, there is intelligence behind that tactic. Some people will do this out of stupidity because they can't think of anything else to do, and you get beaten down because you are in fact too intelligent, thinking your opponent is going to mix up, choose a mid, etc.

Anyhow, this leads me to the point I'd like to make. I have faced many players who use comparable tactics, i.e. abusing a character's three most effective moves, corner trapping and combos, etc. When I return the favour and give them a taste of their own medicine... in 80% of the cases they will cry about it. Now please explain THAT. If these people are so advanced and see the game for what it is, and have simplified and optimalised their technique after learning the game, why do they cry about the same shit being done to them, and why do they deride it as cheap, cheesy and whatever strikes their fancy to call it?

They're not advanced;these people are scrubs.Let's face it.80% of the BS in MK:D is easy to do;in fact,it's so easy to do every scrub can do it.Everyone can do f+3/Throw with Bo,or 3/Throw/d,f+3 with Darrius,or keep away with Dairou,etc.Just because these people are "cheesing" you doesn't mean that they have a tolerance when you "cheese" them back.

I had tons of people abusing Scorp's f+1 and d+1 on me,but when I pick Kobra and do my shit,then all of a sudden my tactics are "cheesy",but not theirs.Seriously,these kind of people are more like retarded rather than scrubs,either way,they're morons.

On a lighter note has anyone found any glitches or bugs in Puzzle Kombat? You know, I don't really think anyone, despite its obvious flaws, can sit back and look at the game as a bad game. This game obviously has loads of content with the chess, puzzle and konquest added on. I admire the teams ambitious design on this game I just want the next one to have a cleaner fighting system. Another thing is, everyone is talking about the game more and more on these forums as of late. Doesn't that mean something? All of us either enjoy the game and want to talk about it or just like picking internet fights (haha dorks. ) Here's a good link for all of you to remember.

Puzzle kombat is probably the best made part of MKD. But it still has a definite tier list, randomness problems, etc. Also Puzzle kombat is very sensitive to connection differences. Sometimes this will tend to clearly favour one of the two players.

But it is by far the most enjoyable game mode, save for a few speed cheaters here and there. At least when you win, your opponents can never say you cheesed them or anything.

Learn Ermac, Hut. I've been doing pretty well against these glitchers. Creating a free throw as their only move and repeating it over and over has turned MOST of them into skilless vegetables. It's gotten to the point where I'm finding that most of these BO glitch users don't even do it very well. They've become so dependant on not having skill that they aren't even good at the 2 moves they do use. I love it.

The MOST FUNNY thing is this... When you think of THE BEST players, who do you think of? Who does everyone think of? BNR? Alexi09? MKF? Asmodeous? These are the real elite players on XBL... Do ya ever see the best players abusing Bo's F3? No. You won't see someone like Horrible Black beating these guys regularly with his 2 moves. No matter what all these PS2'ers keep popping in our forums and saying, everyone looks at the BRC abusers as skilless rank whores... That's all HB is. he talks the talk, but when he plays the best, he's walking the walk right to the big NO. These Bo abusers don't beat the best, so they're not "Experts" as the article describes, they're just rank hos that found 2 moves that make it not necessary to have real skill to beat MOST people. So, that's all they will ever do. Unfortunately, it's boring and annoying to play them. But it does feel good when you beat their little glitch. I whooped HB last time we played, and Raidenwins last night 6 in a row. Nothing against Raidenwins, he's good, but he relies soley on free throws.

u talk and talk.... ill tell u what... u take away ur ermac unbreakable combo , and i bet u cant win. its 75% of ur gameplay. u launch with the axe or lift in axe stance so u can do the combo.. why??? cause u maximize the most damage u can do off that more by exploiting a glitch. raiden wins does the same thing.

Like I said Red, I win all the time with Nightwolf... But even still, the only thing about Ermac's move that could even be called a glitch is that free thrown when it's over. If I didn't do that free throw, I'd still win just as many games. If you think the rest of it is a glitch, I'd say you're wrong. If it was, it wouldn't limit you to doing it 3 times. Midway and Boon were very well aware that Ermac can lift axe, lift axe, lift telekenetic throw when they put this game out... Free throws on the other hand I don't know about. And that's the basis of all Raidenwins' gameplay.

im sure, they gave ermac an unbreakable combo on purpose. the reason u cant keep doing it is cause the game engine plants the character after 3 hits. same goes for jinko u2 , lift, u2, lift u2. than it plants him. launches with weapons are not breakable, thats why i call it a glitch. n/s has the only other unbrrakbale combo that does high damage, and its still 15% less . think what u want, ur combo is a result of poor testing and nothing more.

its like me saying i can 113, 4, f1, spear, lift, sidestep throw, u+4+cs,db+3+cs, 111vs44cs u when u run out of breakers and drain 75% of ur energy and all u can do is watch cause u cant break it.

You can think what you want, but that sort of thing was found during beta testing. People were doing it the first 2 weeks the game was out. If players can figure it out that fast, they knew about it. I still don't think it's half as bad as BRC's F3 throw over and over. Just my opinion, and I think a lot of others agree.

After reading that article and putting into practice "playing to win," my game has skyrocketed. Everything on that site was right, and utilizing its advice WILL make you a better player. What I used to think of as a "cheesy" or "cheap" is now part of my over-all scheme. I've been trying out some new tactics with all the players and all I can say is people are gonna hate me. You thought HB's Bo was shitty, you haven't seen shitty yet.

It's cool, I don't like Bo's BS and I don't like when people are only out to get free throws by poking you and all that stuff, but it is what it is. I do see why people do these things, and it's not that big of a deal, but when you only do 2 moves it's boring. That's my main beef. Like I said, I've been beating a lot of Bo's lately. I just don't see what THEY get out of it. Anyway, i'll challenge you soon so i can see your new toys. Heheh...
