Hey i know that would piss me off too, if kitana isnt in the game dont give her fans to anyone else. If they did give it to some new character, many fans would hate that character.

They already did that to Kitana in MK4. Look at Tanya, she was the clone of Kitana excluding the skin color, outfit color, and no fans.

She was Kitana's replacement yes, but how was she a clone? Kitan never did a corkscreww kick or had a fireball, for the other flip kick thing that Tanya did. The only thing of Kitana's that Tanya recieved was a kiss of death and in all fairness Kitana stole that from Sonya. Kitana is more of a clone of Sonya than Tanya was of Kitana. Don't get me wrong I hate Tanya but she is not a clone, just a place holder. Li Mei on the other hand is a complete rip off of Mileena.

Jade used the fans as well remember. I personally hope Kitana comes back, but with the huge limitation that's been put on characters, it mightbe safe to say Kitana is less likely to make it than she was straight after Deadly Alliance.

Yeah, it looks like Kitana never had any original move but the fan lift...and even sindel, kenshi, tsung, ermac, and others have the same similar power...

About the Tanya/Kitana deal. In MK4 if you had a gameshark you could hack the game, and turn Tanya into a represintation of Kitana.. that was fun for a few. It was tanya, with black clothing, and kitana's fan's as a weapon... Kept me occupied for a few minutes.

But I agree that they should not give away a characters defining attributes to a new character, trying to make them a place holder for an older character.

I completely agree.
It would be very cheap and unoriginal to give the fans to some one else besides Kitana.
The fans btw were very powerfull in MKDA (throwable impale rocked!).

As a Kitana fan (lol double meaning ) i'm still hoping that Kitana will return in Deceptions,..but sofar it doesn't look like it .

Oh well. At least Mileena sure looks good. I hope she'll have a throwable impale move with her sai's aswell (that would definately make up for Kitana's absent )

Yes! Mileena throwing her Sai for an impale would be awsome instead of the current stabbing them into the knees, besides if Li Mei is in the game which it looks like she is *I think we all know the infamous pic I'm referring to* SOMETHING has to be different from the two.
