I don't understand why he was killed off.
He was one the best characters from MKDA who's moves sucked but with a little tweaking he could've gone a long way and dare I say...... become a fan favorite.
Three characters were brought back from DA: Kenshi, Li Mei, and BRC.
Kenshi's return was a good move by Midway.
BRC and Li Mei received so much negative feedback and yet here they are.
Mavado just received complaints in the moves department but ppl took a liking to his concept and story.
Li Mei was improved but BRC wasn't. Li Mei has received a lot fan support and it seems BRC lost some.
Don't get me wrong , BRC is original but so is Mavado.
And ppl cannot also say he's a palette swap of Kabal because ppl said Li Mei was a palette swap of Mileena.
I love Kabal and Mavado, but I don't agree with Boon's decision of killing him off.
And it's not so much that Mavado is dead it's the fact that Midway has a bad habit of "eliminating" characters with good potential. (i.e. Fujin, Rain, Kai, Reiko etc.)
I still think Mavado should've been in MKD but what's done is done.
I hope in MK7 a lot of one-hit characters get a second chance.(except Shinnok and Mokap.)
It's just a game and I don't usually make a fuss about these things but I took a liking to Mavado.
But keep in mind one thing.......no one in MK ever stays dead.

no ofence or nething to ne1 who liked him, there wont be much to miss in my case, cus he was just a guy with a rip off of scorpions spear thing when you think about it and golf shoes which were used for a terrible fatality

Please tell me what was so original about Mavado? I mean, he really wasn't all that distinct and different, unlike Bo Rai Cho, even though I don't like him, HE'S original.

never really liked mavado...there was no point he was just basically kabal with a differnt look and moves. and yes midway does have a bad habit of throwing in characters and taking them out which is pointless. maybe they thought to take rain out so there wouldnt be so many ninjas but the fans liked it. my last word is....sometimes they have a tendency to throw characters into the game like they threw characters into MKII the movie....too many at once so they dont know what to do with them but to kill them off, alot of good characters with good potential but wasted. still love MK though peace

Dude its pritty clear that mavado lost a rematch agenst Kabal in his Bio, Kabal's that is. So thats were he got the swords back from. As for missing Mavado, i realy did not like him. He looked realy cool and had chariture development potental but he sucked as a Wowing fighter. All he had was those gay rope moves well any hoot im glad he is gone

thats what i feel aussie. i mean human smoke was basically scorpion when he first came out....i mean what is really the whole point of taking kabal out for one game and putting in someone so similar....just for a paragraph of storyline???mavado came injured kabal because he was on a goal but then kabal recovered and killed him and got back his hookswords.......mavado was lame and so was the little bit of story line he added.

I think people didn't like him because he didn't had a lot of combos, however I think that his story could go very far, because it can envolve another characters. I think his looks were one of my favorites from MKDA, I know he wasn't the best from MKDA, but his ALT was one of the best(in my opinion). So I guess you can say that I actually miss him, but "death" in MK World is just like taking a break!

I only liked his appearance but I think he sucked for fighting. Although he was an ok character I wouldnt miss him if they just killed him off, but I wouldnt care if they brought him back with different moves. He has potential but I doubt hell ever use it.

I also miss Mavado.. he was probably my favorite character in MK:DA. I just got bored with the same ol' Scorpion and Sub-Zero. However, I wish they would have given him better special moves and a good fatality.
Btw, I don't think Kabal has Mavado's trenchcoat. Mavado had the red dragon emblem on his.
I'm actually in the process of writing a couple Deception fanfics for characters who didn't make the grade.. (Rain, Khameleon, and Mavado).

Well, Mavado wasn't a ninja, nor a god, nor an asian martial artist, nor an american martial artist, nor a cyborg, nor a sorcerer, nor a demon. He was the leader of the Red Dragon clan.
His outfits were original even though his primary was a bit sloppy but his secondary was very nicely done. His name was original, his story was very original as well.(IMO)
The only thing that sucked were his moves and fatality but everything else was cool about him.

Damn i hate mavado, while i'll agree that his second costume was pretty cool (apart from the paracute pants) i just found him bland and useless.
his whole story was unnessarsary and everyone he tries to kill lives (kenshi, kabal).
not to mention the fact that no mavado ment no red dragon, no red dragon means no hsu hao, no hsu hao means happy gamers across the globe.
please don't let his ending come true and kill off kano

I thought it was really stupid to add so many new black Dragon members in MKD just when the Red Dragon story was starting to evolve in MKDA, and the black Dragon was in its end.
And in MKD, we got no red dragon members. The red dragon is not even mentioned!!
I’m still HOPING to God that Kira is a RED DRAGON in disguise. It actually fits her character much better! Her whole look makes you doubt about her true identity.
She is too RED to be a black member.
Mavado has potential.
I thought he was very cool in MKDA, I really liked his character concept design and story. The only flaws were his terrible special moves and fatality. Awful.
I think we have not seen the last of him. Remember when everyone was so sure, affirming that Kabal was killed by Mavado because of his story? Well, it turned out to be false.
So, that pic were Mavado is defeated means nothing. He could be dead .but seriously, how many people stay dead in Mk?

As far as Kabal killing Mavado people should remember, in the last game Mavado Killed Kabal. Look at how well that took. In MK dead could mean Sick, defeted, dead, or just NEAR death. Its a multi fuctional word in MK.
