nice idea about the mayan stuff, but I think it confirms in several places he is from the netherrealm. The reason why he is so rotten is because he apparantly has been backstabbed and killed by somebody, look at his back you will clearly see a knife hanging out. I know its brutal but that is the truth.

um, drahmin is not south american, remember that south america isnt the only place with pyramids, he could well be african(egypt) but then again, it could be just a game, perhaps, hmmm(dont mean to flame) and if i was you, i would hold down on the posts, or you might feel the wrath of the might, ban.
but anyway, like the others said, the reason he looks that way is because of the years of torture in the netherrealm
