I think the BAD GUYS will finally WIN...it seems I-N-E-V-I-T-A-B-L-E (But, do you want them to win?)

I like this thread, so with that bein said....
I like the whole concept of evil prevailin for once. In my little world, the DK defeats all, and onto MK7 we go, set in Earthrealm, the last hope of all realms [as I think someone put it]
After all the deceptions that are realised in this chapter of the story of MK, even the BAD guys will realise the threat of the DK....Baraka's tartakan race is threatened with extinction, the Shokans are dying, Edenia is a wasteland once more, the Vampire realm is all but 4gotten and the realisation that the DK is out for EVERYONE will hit a raw nerve with even the most evil of kombatants.
I know this is all MK7 type talk but keepin it with Deception, Earthrealm seems doomed, Im tired of Raiden, our Thunder God bein all goody goody, we're livin in a world where cheerin the bad guys is the RIGHT thing to do, surely!

LOL! Im so glad someone else likes this possible idea.
Even though I like the idea of the bad guys turning their back on the great King to survive, I think its not likely to happen anytime soon. Especially with Mk7 on the way.
With Outworld lost, earth will be the next target, and the great king will have to use all its power, that includes mutants, etc. AND the Tekunin will play a very important role in this annihilation.
Maybe after Mk7, or at the end, the bad guys will realize they are as doomed as the good guys, but I doubt Mk7 will be the conclusion of the series.
They will loose in deception, but win in Mk7. The great king however, will not be defeated.

Technically, evil did win during MK:DA. Sure, the Deadly Alliance was defeated, but not before they succeeded in ressurrecting the Dragon King's army. Also, Reptile succeeded in fulfilling his destiny by being the conduit of the Dragon King's ressurrection. So, although Earth's Warriors succeeded in halting the plans of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, that wasn't until after events were set up to bring out an even badder evil.

Well, we are not 100% sure that the army has been revived (but it seems obvious). The Drgaon King did in fact return, but he was not involved with the events that were taking place at the moment.
He emerged as the new evil. If not, the bad guys would had won each Mk till today, since there is always a new deadly treat emerging from the grave.
Mk1: They won, but they had Kahn.
Mk2: They were folled, Kahn is still there.
Mk3/U/T: They defeated Kahn, but he is still alive, and Shinnok is back.
Mk4: They killed Shinnok, Kahn was also killed, but the deadly alliance came.
MK5: The deadly alliance was defeated. But the Dragon King returned.
Mk6: ????
See my point? If we base it in your statement, technically, the EVIL SIDE has always won, since the start.
This is probably the most idiotic question since the last 'is this pic of smoke really noob?', but didn't Kahn or at least evil win in MK2? I was always under the impression that Kahn was able to enter and take over the Earthrealm (beginning of MK3) after winning. I probably missed some backstory or just flat out forgot, but who in actuality won MK2?
I think that's an interesting idea for sure. An idea for MKDA though, really maybe neither good or evil won... For instance, shang and quan were defeated but the dragon king was created, and maybe a few earth warriors died also... So really there was no clear cut victory. As far as the bad guys finally winning, really the side of evil has won several times before just not directly in an mk game. But I think if the dragon king still prevails it could be a great set up to get Mortal Kombat back to a tournoment style... for instance. The dragon king was stunned in mk:d giving raiden enough time to effectivly "lock" the portals in earth realm, and called about Mortal Kombat. Thus forcing the dragon king to compeat in Mortal Kombat, and really it could reinvent the series, because the dragon king would be forced to play by the rules of the tournoment. And this could just as easily lead to bigger and better thigns like the dragon king getting into a war with the heavens.
One thing i don't get at all though, through this whole thing... Really there are more powerful forces than the Dragon King out there, A fallen Elder God namley. Another great way to bend the plot would be say that this was actually a master plan by shinnok many years ago as a back up if raiden could ever stop his orignal conquest. He would create this amulet that would revive the dragon king, wich would destroy everything however shinnok would posses control over the dragon king. I know it sounds out there, but I just don't really get the fact that this amulet ressurected the dragon king, but shinnok created this amulet years ago which could only be created once. Myself along with alot of us are obviously looking very deeply into the story, it's most likley just a classic MK story gap, but it's something to think about, and it's a great platform for the MK team to develop further ideas for future games.

I agree. I think if Raiden is evil that may infact be the key to the DK's victory.
I hope they don't kill off Nightwolf.
It would be a great to see the good guys loose. Maybe the end fight would be Liu Kang vs The Dragon King. Finally Liu Kang loses and is gone forever!!!!!!!!
It'd be cool to see the bad guys win for once.

I'm all 4 the bad guys winning, but OK I know the DK is evil, but if he wanted to rule all the realms would'nt that have happened a long time ago. Plus they would have been alot weaker back then, and where does it say that he want's to rule all realms? I think he just want's to get rid of all the people in his realm.

If the bad guys win there will be no more mortal kombat. no mk7 or 8 or whatever
I wouldn't mind seeing The Dragon King more or less takeover Outworld with his army..
In MK7 it'd be truelly awesome if Raiden & Shao Kahn fight side by side to try and defeat The Dragon King but at the same time Shao Kahn has Noob Saibot come and try rid him of Raiden.
But what would be totally crazy is if Shao Kahn/Raiden merge into one being to try and take out the Dragon King as they see only there combined power can overcome the DK. Just imagine how powerful a combined character like that would be? DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN
peace.

I like this idea and Deception has the perfect setting for this to happen. I hope youre right and the Dragon King will win this time. As long as not many great characters end up being killed. The Dragon King must win Deception and with the combined forces of Outworld and fallen Edenia (even Raiden) the Dragon King will be stronger then ever and ready to take on Earthream in MK7.
Once again all the classic Earthrealm warriors Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero even Liu Kang ect. Will be the only ones who stand between the Dragon King and total Domination of Earthream. This time without the help of Raiden. I really want to see something like this.

Liu Kang won Mk2. But this tournament was ment to be a distraction so Kahns sorcerers could elaborate a plot in earth, by making Raydens attention focus in Outwolrd, his sorcerers revived Sindel in Earth, allowing him to enter our planet.

I love the way you said that ! And that is exactly how I think it will be. The true chosen warriors that are missing in deception will stand alone (without Rayden it seems like a perfect deception!) and defend earth in the mightiest of all battles.

I think it would be good for the plot for the Bad Guys to win, and after thinking about it, I want them to win!
PS: Just as long as my favourites do not get killed off!

I don't know... I just don't like the idea of the bad guys winning this time considering I'm not all that impressed with the bad guys.
Shang Tsung and Quan Chi winning for once in their lives? I'd love to see that, they're cool and they've been punked by the good guys long enough. They deserve it.
The Dragon King on the other hand? ....No. I'm just not impressed with him in terms of looks (looks kind of like Ogre if you think about it) and I don't like his story. "Teh unbeatable Dragon King."
Well, we all know what happens to those unbeatable types in the end now don't we? They get their asses kicked by the most obscure and underrated person... Ben? lol
So no, I don't want the bad guys to win. It's not cliche but in a way, it is.

I was thinking the same thing, queve.
The battle is over--the DK has taken Outworld and Edenia, destroying Shujinko. Kitana, with her mother Sindel, and Jade, flee to Earthrealm before Edenia falls. Joining with Earth's mightiest warriors, they prepare to make a stand against the DK, when an unexpedcted ally arrives--Shao Kahn. Realizing that only one warrior has the strength and courage to defeat the DK, Shao Kahn assist Earth's warriors by once again reuniting Liu Kang's spirit with his body. However, Liu's confidence is now shaken and he is but a shell of the fighter he was. Who can defeat the DK? Raiden is not dead, however--only held prisoner by the DK. Perhaps he holds the key to saving the realms? With the DK in control of every other realm, and with his defeat of the Elder Gods now complete, he turns his site on Earth, where Kahn, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kitana, Jade, Kung Lao, Jax, Fujin, Kenshi, and Sindeel are waiting. Kung Lao is obviously the favorite to win, but remember--he wasn't chosen to fight in MK1--maybe Raiden sees a weakness within him, besides his White Lotus beliefs? What of Johnny Cage? Could he possibly overcome his arrogance and fight like the great masters of the world taught him to? Sonya Blade maybe strong for a woman, but can she be powerful enough to face the DK? Can Liu Kang be the champion he needs to be? Is Jax really that good a fighter? Only time will tell.......
Me likey this idea. lol.

Someone had already touched upon this...
but I still consider MK 2 as a victory for Kahn.
The tournament never really existed, as I remember, it was just a hoax to lure earth warriors into outworld...so no matter who won that tournament...earth was going to be invaded.
The end result of MK 2...was Kahn gaining access to earths portals, even if he "cheated".
If the evil side wins this time around, in MK:D...we can afford to see it...which is why we will see it.
As many have already said...they won't use the Dragon King...after all the build up in MK:DA...and now in MK: D...to only use him for one game. On top of that...he's trying to take over Outworld...he probably will, we've seen outworld taken over before...they don't have a ton to lose...it's nothing they haven't seen...in terms of a violent, gruesome dictator opressing their population.
He won't win earth though, THAT would be ground breaking...I'd like to see them swing that angle.

johnny_cage_win that is a very interesting story. I liked it.
And I agree. I also think MK2 was won by the evil side, I already explained why.
Earthrealm will be like Mk3 again. Im really sure about it, and I cant wait!
I loved that apocalyptical feeling the game had back then, the destroyed city, the dead habitants, the giant empire, the fire, etc. It was amazing.
