What I'm saying is that I don't think any of the prisoners will have anything to do with the story. For instance, Goro was killed and his body was lowered into the lava in Kitana's story. In another post Shao Kahn is revealed to be in it but we know he's dead so why bring him back just to be in jail? Finally Boon probably just put all of the extra characters that couldn't fit in the game like Rain, Sektor, Sonya, Stryker and Fujin so he could make fans happier.

PS - Yes, some people do like Stryker like me smile

I am kind of let down by this news, but I could deal with it. I have Sub-Zero and Raiden in this game so I am happy.

I think the prison stage is going to be just like Shao Kahn's stage in MK2 where we see Sonya and Kano chained up on two different platforms.

I have a theory on the prison stage, what if it is located in the Netherealm? What if those characters in the prison stage are actually dead? It could explain alot.

I heard that Kitana had died from one of "Queve's threads" and if that is true, what is of the other defeated warrior's fate? Mabey Cage had died again and this time Sonya had died also, mabey Kung Lao had also died?

i got an idea that makes sense. Maybe the stage is like the idea they had for the drum stage that when you have a draw on that stage you get to fight someone in a jail cell. Makes perfect sense to me, and sounds really cool. I just don't think you can control them, with a gameshark or something

nope, it doesn't make any sense at all, let's see they'd have to do 50+ decent 3d models for characters that we wouldn't be able to use?

lolol, use common sense next time plz

I had it pretty much thought out from the start that they were there for show, nothing else.

But someone noticed that Jade is playable and was in the prison and got the idea that everyone else in the prison would be playable, which isn't the case.

The prison character's are just people who have been important to past MK's storyline, which is why Jade features in both, with her choice in MKT either resulting in her master being her new enemy or the death of Kitana.
Most of the prisoners are just in there for fun, to bring back fund memories and the such. It's nice to see dead chars agien, even if they are locked up. It's nothing to take seriously though.

I don't even know where all this crap about them being playable came from, do you notice how crappy they look? Things that look crappier tan you usually aren't playable they're just there for show.

I figure that they are either there to to fight you, or they are there for show, don't get your hopes up.unless you own a gameshark.

I have to disagree w/ Grizzle though, it would be cool if it was in the Netherrealm but there are a fewthings wrong with it...

1. Jade isn't dead
2. I think Sonya would probably go to Heaven
3. Sektor has no soul

It looks they're using the MK4 models for them, including ones that weren't in MK4 eg. Stryker, just a case of picking which model resembles Stryker most and changing whatever to make him look like that.

They might have even done this for Deadly Alliance characters like Mavado and Hsu Hao, downgrading the graphical quality so to speak.

when you put MK4 quality graphics in a game of graphical quality of Deception, you can really tell how bad it was in MK4.

I think they might be using the same quality for Konquest mode as well.
i just have one, question, why do u say shao kahn is dead, nobody knows it, in deadly alliance it only says it was defeated, am i missing something?

Reptile and Kano were witnesses. It even says in Rep's konquest story he found the corpse later.
