If u look at the pictures, just compare em. Plus look at the birds in the backround. If its not the Kombat Tomb then i think it was insiped by, maybe when they were thinking of classic arenas for Chess Kombat. What do u think?

He said inspired by, not an exact copy of it. Yes, I think it could have definately been inspired by the Tomb. Good eye.

Sorry, i don’t see it either. Just because they both have the same not even almost sam roundly connected pillars, dos’nt mean they were inspired by that. I could also say the beach scenario was inspired by shao kahn’s battle ground, just because they both have sand floors(eventhough that’S not true, but do u get my pint?)

Are you kidding me? Those damned flying reptiles are all over Outworld, not just outside the Kombat Tomb. wink After the failed invasion of Earthrealm in MK3, Shao Kahn actually sent his extermination squads after those buggers!

It'd be cool to see the Kombat Tomb in Chess Kombat, even though it's just a reverse pit.

Regarding inspiration, you are looking at an overall look, and they are very similar. They don't have to be exact, cloned, copies. The Slaughterhouse also seems to have birds that also bring to mind those of the Tomb's

I agree, they're very similar. I noticed those birds too and thought they were thrown in for nastolgia's sake. I think the upper floor slaughterhouse would look nicer with the orange hue of the kombat tomb, though.

I'd say they did make the slauhterhouse while thinking of the tob, but rather than bring back an exact duplicate, they changed it and made a new stage. While we're on the subject of familiar stages, just what old stages are returning, coz my favourites were the pit and the soul chamber

ohh so what u're trying to tell me is that those bird thingies only fly around that specific area. dude man that's sencless. those dragon things are probably located everywhere in outworld

No! It just means that when they were making this stage, they remembered the dragons from MKII Tomb and decided to put them in.

all the pits were inspired and based of of each other. none were exact copies. same with the slaughter house.
