Anyway, keeping with my topic. Now that I know about characters I originally wasn't sure about, I know that Darrius is nothing like Jax was, Dairou does look more (a lot more) like Nightwolf than at first glance, and I know Hotaru has a different background/story, but the concept is the same as the UMK3 Scorpion story, except for the reason behind siding with the baddie.

Yeah exactly. He doesn't look like Nightwolf, just a native american. I kinda see where they went or a samurai assassin look. If anything his look is a cross between DA Kung Lao and a Nightwolfish native american theme. i like him anyway though.

I couldn't agree more. This batch of new characters are much more better and highly anticipated as opposed to DA. I mean the quality is better. The only new characters I enjoyed in DA were Hsu Hao, Mavado, Kenshi and Li Mei with Drahmin being so-so-ish. This time around I'm pratically salivating at the opportunity to play as the new characters except for Shujinko who I think is a terrible idea.

I can see what you're getting out m0s3pH with regards to different players having the same moves. Kira has Kano's and Sonya's moves, Shujinko has a bunch of everyone elses moves etc. It would be better if everyone had their own unique moves. I don't think there will be a lot more of this though, most of the characters will be unique.

hey, we're only trying to correct you about Li Mei so then it wont cause any confusion. we didnt flame at you or anything, we're just trying to make it straight. but hey, i made the same mistake about Li Mei also, cause i thought Li Mei was the DK's bodyguard WAY back when I first saw her, until i read her actual story/bio.

You're right, Libra. However, I didn't just mean myself. It's just too often that I see that kind of thing happen to people who make small errors in judgement or opinion.
As for the new characters, Kobra's hoodie costume resembles Jin Kazama, and I think in his second one he has a slight resemblance to Cage. Just my opinion. Also could someone describe Havik's look for me because the only time I saw him was in Scorp's Fatality Friday and I couldn't really make much out about him.

I agree with what you said about Kira. I somewhat agree with the whole Kenshi/Ermac thing but the rest of what you said is just mindless bitching. You know why they made Noob-Smoke? Its beacuse before MK:DA came out their was a million threads about "Is their going to be a tag mode in MK" thats why we now have Noob-Smoke because Boon was trying to give the fans what they wanted. Also Darrius being the "lets add a black guy so we don't look racist" mabye true but really who cares? Jax has been in all the MK's since MK2 and hes lame as hell with his metal arms and purple spandex, then in MK:DA he's an urban thung/army guy fuck that Darrius will blow Jax out of the water even if he sucks to play with. His short bio alone blows Jax out of the water. Kobra looks pretty sweet to much like Cage my ass your just looking for a reason to bitch about a somewhat original character. I just wish he didn't have Sonyas Kali Sticks. Lie Mei, your trying to say you liked her better in MK:DA? Goes from an underdog to just another bodyguard? Lie Mei sucked in MK:DA she look like one of the bitches from DOA and she was a slave fighting for her people that new to MK but thats not to great or original of a storyline. In MK:D shes been given a real look and story. She won the "tourtment" in MK:DA (thank god I figured they'd have Kung Lao win with the absence of Liu Kang)and now shes been corrupted by the DK to fight on the side of evil. Hotaru is sick, so what hes Neutral leaning to the bad side so the fuck what if Scorpion is the same way other then that slight similarity their nothing the fuck alike. Mileena and Baraka are the same species so of course their going to look and act alike. You should really go back and look at some of the compliants you've made. Your looking for things to bitch about. Sub-Zero "IF" frost is in the game. Your bitching about people who aren't even in the game that we know of.

That's actually why I like Kobra. He reminds me more of a Tekken character than a Mortal Kombat character and I'm a big fan of the Tekken character designs.

I feel you, there definitly is laziness in the character development, I think it is from the first game, for instance Sub-zero and Scorpion were put there just to take up space, now years later they have to decipher from the 2. its like that with all the characters. My advice is to take the game for whats is worth, and what its trying to be. It not the most creative game in the world but they work so well with what they got.
Just wait till you play the game Im creating, then you will see some characters...
