Scorpion. I like his spear attack, but I just plain don't like him.

I was thinking the samething about subzeros dragon medalion. Perhaps it has something to do with the dragon king, and maybe thats why subzeros looks changed. It may have some evil effect on subzero, but at the same time makes him stronger and older.

Cage must die. And Kano too (because he betrayed Sheeva).

It's tough to say that I'd kill off any character, especially one of the original seven. That said I do think that there are some characters that need some time off in MK:D.

Rayden: Since Ashrah basically looks like him, and most people seem to think that she's a goddess, it'd be kind of silly to have both her and Rayden in the game. Plus, I'd like to see Fujin return as the protector of Earth Realm, if for only one game.

Scorpion: I'm not sure if he needs a game off, but he can't be killed off. He's already dead. That kinda gives Boon an infinite pass to use him, buf for once it'd be nice if Scorpion came back without having to seek vengence against someone. That's been his plot since the very first game.

That said, if someone put a gun to my head and said "choose:"

Sonya: I think that her death could open up a decent revenge plot for someone else. She's never been overly interesting to me. Then again, neither was Jax after MKII.

Cage: I agree with whoever said that his plot is so repetitive it's not even funny. Every game, he goes back to Hollywood and makes a blockbuster about MK. Plus his cocky attitude and what not don't seem to mesh with MK:D's dark theme. He's been dead once, why not finish the job and be done with him? I'd almost like to see a new "actor" character that could have a better backstory. A guy with a past, a darkness inside of him. A guy that won't just go and make a movie after he wins every tournament but has a real connection to at least one other character.

cage needs to go. he was dead and should have stayed that way. kang better stay dead. kano or sonya can go next. raiden was cool in mk1 and mk2 but started to bite the lame bullet in mk4 and especially in mk5. all his coolness is gone. scorp and sub will always be cool so leave them be.

I'd much rather Johnny Cage stayed around myself. If I had to kill any originals (not counting the already dead ones) I'd say Sonya. She, and the Special Forces in general, has gotten very dull.

Problably dead in MKDA: Kano, Shang Tsung.

As CAMK said, I think Raiden will be the next classic character to die. It sounds likely that Ashrah is his substitute in MK Deception.

Sub-Zero: Already dead, but his younger brother keep.

Scorpion: Isn't he already techincally dead? *shrugs* Gotta keep.

Shang Tsung: *scratching head* He wasn't a playable character so not sure if he's eligible for this, but anyways....DIE and let Quan Chi remain the only evil sorcerer.

Get rid of Kano! He has been in the game too long! He is pretty much useless now and very boring.

Cage and Scorpion just need new stories. If they die, I wouldn't be bothered really. Although Scorpion is already dead technically anyway.

Shang must also stay!

Goro is already dead, as is Kang!

Sonya must stay!

The Sub-Zero of this game is dead, but the Sub-Zero in MKDA must stay!

Scorpion and Kano.

Sonya and Rayden are important elements of the game. Main originals that have been around since the start. They cant go.

It seems that Johnny Cage has about 11 votes. Next in line is Sonya with about 8. Kano has 4, but other than that, the others only have 1 or 2 a piece.

i dont think you need to kill off characters to make an excuse for their absence in certain games. classic characters like the original 7 will always be popular with different people for different reasons. i dont buy the reasoning that they have to be a certain way to be in the games, dark, light, dark story...its all irrelevant to me. the only character that i think had to be phased out was liu kang, not necessarilly killed but moved into a smaller role. anyway, it gets kinda old hearing people say they hate this character, or his story sucks...bottom line, as many people there are that hate a certain character, theres just as many that like them. just tryin to add another opinion about the killing off of characters.

1- KANO Im tired of the black dragon.

2- Shang Tsung.

3- Raiden to make the story so much better! (but I love him so much! )

Mortal Kombat deaths are meaningless, all of these characters have "died": Johnny Cage, Kano, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Goro, Shang Tsung, Mileena, Baraka, Kung Lao, Sheeva, Motaro, Kabal, Shao Kahn, Shinnok etc... Doesn't mean any of them are actually dead... I really wish they'd kill off Kano though for good.

Where to start..

Most of all Johnny should be dead because he’s died so many times and I’ve never liked him.

My second preference for the death squad is Sonya.. This is another character I’ve never really liked. She carries too much baggage with her, not only do we have to put up with her and her one track story line but tied up with her is Jax and Kano. If she dies a few other characters who have been dragged along for the ride wouldn’t look so good out on their own.

KANO he's getting a bit too boring now for me.

Midway MUST phase out the Seven. If they do not, then slowly but surely their games will sell less and less. What the MK series needs right now is a revitalization. MK:DA did just that, but Boon still needs something to keep MK fresh and on par with Soul Caliber.

Frost, Fujin, Kung Lao, Mavado, and others are perfect for filling the roles of many of the Seven, thus ushering in an all new generation in Mortal Kombat. Like I've said in other threads, MK needs new characters, but the same character roles.

They will probably keep Scorpion in MK for as long as MK is around. He's signature to the series. Anyone that knows Mortal Kombat knows "GET OVER HERE!" I am sure.... I really want to see Johnny Cage go though. Seriously. Raiden and Scorpion must stay.
