I know, but he needs something more creative than a pair of swords. It just seems that to many characters in Deception are using swords. Mavado should use a weapon that is unique and makes him stand out from the other characters in the game.

I wouldn't call this unique, but it seems logical that he would have Hsu Hao's Sun-Moons. Although it should have different moves than the Knives and Butterfly Swords.

I think Yuan Yang Razors would fit perfect with Mavado. Heres a pic:

I agree with wanderer. People are stupid like Jade has the staff so what weapon is Raiden gonna have hmm so now becuz jades in raiden can't have a staff. It's kinda like saying I own a shotgun so you can't. Think if Mavado and Kabal fought with hook swords it would be awesome. I think he should have the hookswords.

Mavado can have the Hookswords. He should just have a different moveset to Kabal. He used the hookswords well and he should have them once again.

I have nothing against Jade and Raiden both having staffs in the game. Furthermore, the topic we are discussing is Mavado not Raden or Jade. Its just that Mavado is pretty much a generic character and I feel that giving him a creative weapon could add more originality to the character.

First of all there is nothing generic about Mavado. The weapons I would like him to have are:

1. Hookswords (Why not? So what if there are more characters with hookswords)
2. Yuan Yang Razors (As Dark_No0b mentioned, great idea)
3. Double-Bladed Axw (His original concept weapon in MKDA)

If Mavado is in MKD and he has the Hooksword then maybe having the hooksword will add something interesting to his story with Kabal. However he can always have a new weapon.

Good point, however, I think it would be more interesting for Mavado to have the weapon that he originally had before he aquired Kabals hookswords.

What was that weapon....? if they talked about it in konquest in MKDA, I skipped that part! what was it????

I heard someone say sun moons not a bad idea but it looks like HSU HAO maybe back lol. So I still prefer Hook swords. If not then Ying Yung Razors. Or the rocket that shoots out there ass nahh thats more for bo rai cho lol.

I will explain what I meant when I called Mavado generic, but you will have to bare with me. We all can agree on one thing here and that is that we are all MK fans incluging me. Thus, alot of us are aware of Mavado's story which in fact makes him interesting. Nevertheless, I have friends that are not MK fans and could care less about Mavado's story. Thus, if we are able to unlock Kabal with his hook swords, who infact has a look that makes a player ask himself questions about the character(Why is he wearing the mask? Does he need the mask to suvive? What does he have to hide under the mask? Why is he using those strange looking swords). Therefore, Kabal would probably spark an interest to a new MK player. Furthermore when a new player plays MKD will find Kabal interesting due to his abnormalities. For example, when I first saw Kabal I thaught he was interesting because he had a strange mangled type of appearance and his swords aided in my phycollogical observance of Kabal being a damaged man, because the hook sword is a abnormal looking type of sword. Therefore, the hook sword has meaning and significance in Kabal's hands, but has none in Mavado's. That is the reason why I believe it is important to give Mavado a creative or unique weapon so a new MK player or just someone who wants to play a fighting game who is not informed about the MK stories or has no interest in the MK story would not see Mavado as a generic character who's weapon does not originally define him.

KingKabal, those are fuckin awesome weapons. They would all fit Mavado pefectly.

I like the double hook spears alot to, same with the single sided halberd.

Awesome weapons, however I'd still prefer Mavado to have the Hookswords. If he did have one of these, then the Double Hook Spears would be my choice for him.

I dont get why it's manditory that a classic character just MUST have their classic weapon. i mean it is a new game and new times. Classic charcaters should have newer improved versions of their old weapons or just all around new weapons. Or it would also be cool to have a weapon that pertains to the particular charcters style.Some1 with tha wing chun or jeet kune doo style should use a three sectional staff or a trident. It's all good lol. so long as they have better combo sets for tha charcaters.
