If MK were to have a VS game, what would you want it with? (changed forums)

This is in General Discussion as well, but was suggested that it be moved to MK Deception board instead since it deals with future MK.

It may never happen, most likely because of the competitivness between the game developers, but if MK were to have a VS game released, who would it be VS?

Killer Instinct would be good, except that that is a game about HUGE combo's - MK is not

Streetfighter - Now this i would like to see. Scorpion throwing his spear that that damn Ken or Ryu.

Tao Feng possible

They would need to make it fairly equal in being that games like DOA characters do not have special fireball weapons like they do in MK series.

Could a character without 'special' moves even compete with Sbuzero's ice throw?

What is everyone's thoughts?

we already dicussing this in the "mk trilogy 2" thread on this discussion board. i believe mk vs. KI would work out the best. they are both owned by midway, both sets of fighters have weapons, and the ki characters are dark much like mk. the combo system would work well together.

cyrax vs fulgore
kenshi vs jago
subzero vs glacious
nitewolf vs sabrewolf
kitana vs "ki chick"

the list goes on. please make it boon

Not entirely true.

Rare actually developed the Killer Instinct games. Midway only distributed it to the arcade industry because they were a major player in the arcade industry. Midway doesn't own the rights to KI.

Rare is now part of the Microsoft Game Studios.

and X-men is owned by marvel, owned by stan lee. and they still fought street fighter and capcom. probly all they gotta do is ask and boon can make it happen. KI would still be the better fight and probly get the populous vote

Oh i wasn't saying that because they're developed by different companies that it couldn't work.

It would be great for all parties involved if they were different developers.

Wasn't War Gods by Midway? They had fatalities in that game too. A revamp of those characters to fit in an MK game would be cool, but MK already has a plethora of characters floating around that don't make it into each installment.

I'd rather see an MK with all the MK characters before they make a VS. game.

The boss in KI has two heads and he is very hard.A KI vs MK game would be cool but I doubt Microsoft would let Midway use the rights for KI since KI has a huge fanbase.What about the gameplay.That would be hard to do because KI and MK both play diffrently.If they do make one they should have the combos that KI has and to be fair MK may have to drop 2 fighting styles from each charcter.Another thing is the pace of the game I say MKDA's pace is pretty good for a vs game.

Eyedol was the boss in KI and Gargos was the boss in KI2.

They would really only need to change the combo system because that is what KI is based on.If they toned that down it could certainly work.
KI also had finishing moves.

MK vs Nintendo was funny, but i highly doubt it. Although i certainly would love to perform a fatality on DK or Wario.

I think the most likely, but not the best would be MK VS Tao Feng. MK was made by Boon and Tao Feng was made by his partner Tobias. Ofcourse Killer Instincit would be better.(Fulgor Vs Smoke) Yum.
