they wont sell many if its one just 1 system.

It'll probably still sell good but not nearly as much as it could on other platforms.

They will sell a lot but they won't break the One Million Mark, I'm totally sure.

No, becase a lot of my PC gaming friends (includes me) wasted their money on a gay PS2 for MKDA... and we're not about to spend more of our money on a stupid Xbox to get MK again. Besides, not everyone in planet Earth likes Xbox and is going to get one for MKDA.
I'm sick of this console competition shit. They should just kiss and make up, and unite to form an ultimate console with many controller types to satisfy all the picky little bastards out there.

I don't see MS buying midway. But if they do, they will certainly make Xbox the exclusive system. Which is completely stupid IMO, because they are loosing more money in sales, than it would be make it exclusive to get people to buy it.
In other words. They would make more if they let it be on all consoles because they would sell 500,000 more copies per say, this equates to 2 million dollars. Where as, it would only get people to buy 100 consoles. 200,000 dollars.
Im sure it will be an exclusive if it does happen, but it is really stupid for them to do so.

i agree with mkraiden. as has been stated limiting mk to one platform is alienation for many fans.

It will sell good.

MK is seriously the type of game people would buy an XBOX for.

That would be sooooo stupid on so many levels....
Like BlackSaibot said.. X-box isn't particularly everybody's favorite, DEFINITELY NOT MINE, and it would be bad news for MS/Midway if they think they're goin to sell more video games by releasing it on one system, especially if its for the X-Box.

Well if you think about it if MS buys Midway that doesn't necessarily mean it would be an Xbox exclusive. MS would make more money to sell it on all platforms, plus what a better way to say up yours to sony and nintendo then to make money off a game sold on sony and nintendo systems.
I have all three systems and like games on all three so I'm no fanboy (got a PS2 as a college graduation present, wife bought me a gamecube for Christmas a couple years back, and I won two Xbox consoles through work)
If it were to go strictly one console it would hurt overall sales because they don't hit everybody it doesn't matter, if it is sony, Xbox, or GC. Most third party comapnies don't like signing exclusive because they miss out on the total market, that's why sony, xbox, GC have to pay out huge contracts for the exclusives for any loss in sales that the company could have made by putting it out on all three.
As for MKD not being on th GC it may also have to do with Nintendo trying to sneak in a new system by next Christmas, and MKD would not formatted to that system, or simply the online aspects as previously stated. Plus the sales for GC and Gc games have not been where Nintendo has wanted them.

i think it might sell better... having the ms logo on the cover people would think its a better quality game, alot of people i know dont think midway can make a decent game and know not to buy anything made by them (i dont feel that way) but yeah and more importantly ms has loads of moonay and i think it would be good for future mk games they would have the resources to hire new and more experienced staff who know more about 3d fighters

As far as sales go, unfortunately no, theres no way they could sell as many. However it might be great for the game itself, being geared towards one platform's engine, it would look very nice as an Xbox only title. As far as MS buying midway, i wouldnt expect to see it unless PSI-Ops, MK and Narc do very very well.

I dunno if there was a recent story on it, but i know a few weeks ago there were a few articles about it, it is possible it could happen. Reason being, the new consoles that are coming. The next gen of consoles will probably all be pretty badass in terms of power, so its gonna come down to the games. Midway right now, has a shot to be a very big name this year, The suffering and NBA ballers did very well, and Psi-Ops is getting an extremely good buzz, plus with a new MK game coming and a new version of Narc, they could become a major player as far as software goes, and microsoft would like nothing more then to make those games exclusive to the xbox. but with Midways current financial status, i dont expect to see MS buy up all the midway stock until they see how the next few games do. okay yea, i dabble in the stock market. :)
I doubt that will ever happen. Mortal Kombat started off as an Arcade classic and when it moves onto the home consoles it went multi platform. This was towards the beginning and I think the developers had made the impresion that they will stay like that.
Mortal Kombat's sales would completley drop low if they had it exclusivley to one platform. Mortal Kombat had picked up fans for nearly 10 years and it would be a stab in the back to them if they were not able to play their favorite game due to money reasons.
As for the Game Cube owning Mortal Kombat fans. I'm sorry that you can't own a Mortal Kombat but It was only because the game was going to be played online, It wasn't for money reasons or any thing like that. The developers want to bring back the classic Arcade feeling of Mortal Kombat and have people interact with one another all over the nation and perhaps the globe.

Even if Microsoft purchases Midway I promise you that it will still come out on PS2. Why? Because that means more money...and money is what microsoft is after. Think about it you dont buy a company to loose money and in this case with MKD only being on X-Box that would result in a loss of cash...trust me when I say it will come out on both platforms reguardless.

mk would be a hell of alot better then it is or was graphic and smoothness wise..
