...which one would it be, and how would you modernize it to MKD standards (i.e. adding multiple tiers, stage weapons and death traps...

Now before posting this I read the stickied arena thread beginning to end and to my knowledge I know of no MKDA arenas in MKD. I know the Lava Shrine has been rumored, but as far as I know it's not in. I don't even know if the MK team will put one or more MKDA arenas in or even consider it. But let us consider it for now.

I'd like to see the Dragonfly arena return. Only it isn't just one dragonfly - it's several, flying at different altitudes (that's the multitiered feature). If you'll notice there are circular openings on each side of the dragonfly. Players can get knocked through these openings and onto another dragonfly. One (or more) of these dragonflies can have a stage weapon - a sword that's shaped like a bird's wing. The death trap should be obvious - get knocked off the side and there isn't a dragonfly to land on...kiss the dirt, baby! grin

I would say of course the acid bad, just to see the guy disolving and rotting in pain grin, anyways another stage i would choose will be the lava shrine, and the temple with the giant serpent in it, that'd be soo cool to see the stages fatalities in there.

The flying bird whatever you called it that transport warriors across outworld waste lands I'll reworks it.

Arena-dragonfly
description-dragonfly has been around for more than ten thousand years. It is very useful to the sorcerers and other villains for transporting them across outworld. The ruler of the dragonfly in the long forgotten DragonKing. He made it so he can transport his army to all parts of the realm. The dk is now concealed in a dragonegg so he's no longer using the dragonfly, the deadly alliance is now using it to travel across outworld to find secret portals.

Deathtrap-The deathtrap for the dragonfly is very painful.First the opponent falls off the bird
and end up on the waste land of outworld, and will be eaten by monsters, that has the shapes of;dragons, dinosaurs e.t.c.

I'd love a revamped Nethership stage.

The waves crashing, lightning strikes on the horizon,

the giant squid EATING the loser!

Oh the joy!

I want to see the Lung Hai Temple, or at least that's what I think it was called... I don't remember.

I loved the premise behind it, the defeated warrior being served as an offering to a great water dragon. Sounds cool to me.

Great idea. You could get knocked near the edge of the ship and then the squid could grab you, you then see your opponent being taken into the jowels of the beast where he crushes and eats them.

I love the whole death trap concept. It leaves the possibilities limitless.

If any arena from MK:DA could return in MK:D, I would definitly pick the House of Pekara. That's the best arena in the game, IMO.

Other than the House of Pekara, I wouldn't mind seeing the Lava Shrine and Lost Tomb come back.

totally agree about house of perkea, but for a fatality u could kick the guy to the ghost and maybe the ghost would eat them or something. or maybe have the ghost posses them then have them do crazy stuff to their own body?

I'd like Shangs Palace to return complete with stage Fatalities.

Firstly you'd be able to knock the opponent into the soulnado and watch as they are torn about like Scorpion was in one of the endings.

And secondly, I'd like to see the souls that are flying around enter the body and come out of it, removing the opponents life force. They would cause the body to rot and wear away. If they hit with an impact, then maybe the body could explode.

I'd like to see the Sarna Ruins areana. The one where there's a sand storm in the background. It has a temple in the back and some of the areana is covered in sand. For a death trap I'd like to see the guy get eaten by a giant sand worm that should be swimming in the background. That or get torn to pieces in the Sand strom in the background.

I thought the House of Pekara was very overlooked and could have some very gruesome death traps

e.g. being kicked into a tree branch and being impailed on it

Being engulfed by tree roots

I'd choose Quan Chi's fortress. And If you get out from the edges you simply splatter on the ground underneat, MK2 style, No studid explosion like in the sky temple.

I like the Living Forst stage, could have traps hiddens o the ground with leaves and mud and stuff, and ur players falls down them. Some could only be small pits allowing ur character to get up again but giving u time to get a few chesp hits in, and some could have spikes. Could also hit them into the mouths of the trees.
Sorry I just realised it was MK:DA arenas..sorry...but I like the living forest. Id like Shang Tsungs Palace or id like the dragonfly to return.

Yes this is the one I forgot about. It's just about the best stage.

My stage fatility however would be being hurled out of the ring into a mini-tornado (there would be many more swirling out there now). Seeing the character being flung high into the sky like the recoil of a springy bungee rope and then hurtling back to earth, possibly from the perspective of the Pit 2 from MK2 and basically yeah, splat into ground or one of the temples.

The House of Pekara, the Sarna Ruins, and the Nethership were my favourites. But I thought that the backgrounds were one of the best aspects of MK:DA (despite the lame fact that there were no stage fatalities). I could see any of them being used again.
