i mean i dont really wanna see him return, id rather quan chi, but if tsung comes back, who thinks he should come back looking like he did in MK1? like the old man with grey hair and long grey goatee, i think he would look crazy in 3d like that, plus it would be good, because like after MKDA, he would be weak and lost all his souls, so he would be old again, just a thought, what do yall think?

Thats an interesting idea... I wouldnt complain if he returned in that form, but i doubt he would. It makes sense on what you said though, about him after the disban of the DA he lost his souls and aged again... Who knows.. maybe as an alt. costume he can be old??

i dont really like shang tsung but i think it would be cool if he came back as his look in mk1 it would be cool in 3-d but if i had to choose between quan chi or shang tsungi would oick quan chi

i like quan chi too.
What would be interesting is Shang Tsung returns as an old man and his story is that The Dragon King promised Shang Tsung endless amounts of souls if he helps the DK eliminate his enemies.
So Tsung helps the DK but in his ending, he defeats the DK and becomes young again but as he laughs victoriously a shadowy figure appears behind him and grabs him by the shoulder... IT'S SHAO KAHN!!! Tsung is sent to one of Shao's labor camps to reside there... FOREVER!!!

That would be a pretty cool ending, but it sounds to compasionate. I think shao Kahn shoudl grab him throw him down, and we should be treated to a minature fight sceen where he deacrates Shang tsung, kills him, and then steals all of his souls.
Well I didn't want Shao Kahn to kill Tsung because:
1- Tsung is a fan favorite and to destroy him completely means Midway have to come up with another shit excuse to resurrect him. If Shao Kahn imprisons him, he can return at any given time or remain there for ever, still alive.
2- Death is a release, Kahn's labor camps are ETERNAL TORTURE.

Props to Daemos for the kick ass ending idea.
Unfortunately I think Shang will be omitted from this game...which pisses me off, cuz obviously, my namesake suggests him to be my favorite character.

Well, if Shang Tsung ever did return as a playable fighter, it would be nice if he could transform again. In Deadly Alliance, playing as him didn't quite feel right.... Perhaps by the time the next video game consoles come out, then can eliminate the so-called "loading" problems where smooth transformations could actually take place. I am wondering, however, why Shang Tsung couldn't have just had EVERYBODY'S special moves and fighting style. Because that is what Tsung has always been in the past--an incarnation of all of the other playable warriors.

I can count on Shao Kahn executing Shang Tsung on the spot! Shang Tsung sweet-talked his way OUT of an execution in MK2, and I don't know why Shao Kahn refused to execute Shang Tsung right after MK3. I am inclined to believe that Shao Kahn no longer has any evil intentions. Now, I kinda see him as an "anti-hero". The evil forces always end up turning on each other. Whether or not Shao Kahn steals Shang Tsung's souls, that decision is Kahn's, and Kahn's alone.

Floating old man ShangTsung was the best.I'd love to see that back....but if he doesn't have his morphs,it would be very odd and no longer feel like Shangtsung.

Yes, the older Shang Tsung from MK1 was the best. They need to somehow implement the transformations again. In Deadly Alliance, it just wasn't him--plain and simple.
It seems that the MK team are bringing back a lot of classic warriors, but most of them don't fell right because they're all missing their classic moves of the past, and Shang Tsung is definitely no exception.

We'll never see him as old as he was in MK1. Maybe close though. In MK1 his body was generations old. He lost MK and was givin his youth back. In MK2 he came back a lot younger. He's older in MK:DA. All the characters are. Thats one of the things I'm kind of dissapointed wasn't apreciated about the game. The designers went out of their way to create a more realistic feeling by aging the characters and no one even cared lol.

I love Quan but man what a let down from goign from one of the best fatals ever to I think probably the worst ever..........MAN....that pissed me off.

Shang tsung looked more evil when he was an old man in MK1. I would like him to return looking like that again, i think it would look awesome. Something should happen to him, making him losing tons of souls, but still powerful at the same time.

It would be nice to see Shang as an old man. But i really would like to see him transform again. Now I have got to go back and play mk1 to see him again it's been to long. c-ya
