If Sonya returns, should she be more female eye-candy?

I know the forum is pretty split on the appearance of MK females, and to me, it's all good as long as it's done in good taste. A girl can wear virtually nothing without blatantly looking like a slut(Mileena's persian look is a good example). On the other hand, I don't think the sex-appeal look fits all characters.

Li Mei was a slave, so she has the sad-hentai-chick look going for her. But she's always occompanied with a more modest appearance, fitting her character. But either way, I'm sure the creators had eye-candy in mind when they were making her.

Mileena always has that "succubus" attribute, where she's meant to be beautiful, but underneath the vail...well, you get the picture. Also, being Kitana's rival, I'm sure Mileena's goal is to outdue Kitana in every aspect, including beauty, so therefore she wears practically nothing.

Kira, as a BK member, is sure to be one of those independant bad girls, so her scantly attire isn't a surprise at all. Still, I'm not really thrilled to see Kira. I guess it's because I never liked Kano, or villains for that matter(probably why Kabal has been a favorite of mine).

But Sonya... no. I can't imagine her looking like a sci-fi prostitute. I always imagined her as the more dignified, reserved MK female. But if she does come back, the team will most likely give her both types of costumes. I just hope she's wearing more than a beret and a bottle of chocolate syrup.

no, sonya should be a bit eye candy, ya know show a little ass, show some mid drift, show a bit of cleavage, but still tease us knowing we could see more but she wont, hehe, DIRTY!

I think we have better odds of seeing Sareena get dirty in the mud than Sonya. Hell, Jax might be a safer bet. tongue

Nah, I don't think Sonya should show more skin. I think one of the reason she's respected as much as she is, is because She doesn't have to run around in a string bikini, or half naked for people to notice her. I think that Boon should be proud that he made at least one female in his games that is beautiful, kicks ass, and does it all while keeping her clothes on.

Well, the one thing that has always been consistent about Sonya's appearence is her bare midriff. That added with the skintight leather and the thong she sported in MK:DA, I don't think she need go any further than that.
Mileena actually has an excuse to dress the way she does so that works, and the the one thing always consstent with Kitana's appearence is her bare thighs.
So, all in all, I think Sonya, Kitana, and Mileena's appearences are fine as is.

ok lets think about this, 99% of the people who buy MK are guys, so what appeals to guys besides killing people and beer.... hmmmm GIRLS, so every female will most likely be wearing a thong and and some stickers on their nipples, even sheeva wore a thong, thank god she didnt have four ass cheeks

Ashrah is a breath of fresh air. She doesn't run around half-naked. In fact, if memory serves me right, she is the FIRST MK female to be fully clothed from top to bottom.

C'mon, even Sonya (who is the most dressed out of all the MK girls) has always shown that sexy stomach of hers, not to mention the thong in MKDA. And her figure, though always clothed, is something the imagination can fantasize about.

Ashrah is the first girl to be 100% clothed, and her body is a normal woman's body, not supermodel status like the others, ya know? And while I'm not against MK girls being half-naked and/or sexy at all, I'm glad we have a character like Ashrah now, and I would hope to see more like her, only totally different designs.

I like her outfits just the way they are. She is a jeans and t-shirt girl, or straight run of the mill BDU's. Why do we talk about these kinds of things? We have no control over her cloths,and no matter what she wears we will play the game.

No wait Sonya falls in love with rap and hip hop. And gets all geared out in Insane Clown Posse cloths hell yea. Jackel brothers, lil clown love here and there. Wing chung,Juggalet pimpen hard. Sonya should remain as she is or look even tougher. So far she is the only female character that looks likes she can actually fight. Don't you guys have enough eye candy as it is. Sheesh! Sonya is military. They already messed up Jax in regards to this, don't let them do the same for Sonya. She is military and should remain looking as if she is in the miltary. If you can't handle that, go play DOA.

Note: Nothing against Jax, but he is suppose to be a soldier not a civilian no matter what the style. Also, the swimsuit photo was a JOKE! Get it Ha! Ha!

Of all the females of Mortal Kombat, only one has managed to get passed the test of looking like some cheap sad prostitute, and that’s Sonya.

The thing I love so much about her is that she looks amazingly sexy (blond hair, blue eyes, the thong, tight pants and short tight shirts, round ass and big boobs) but 100% DECENT!!!!

Look at Kitana! A princess fighting in a half naked costume that looks exactly like .Jade! Who looks just like the old Mileena! Who is so alike the chick known as Tanya, who is so similar in costumes like the queen Sindel, who is just like the new chick Kira, who fights almost as naked as Li Mei, who reminds all of us of an almost naked Sheeva, to suddenly have the image of Frost’s alt costume, and then we have ..

You see???? All females dress the same. All look sexy but seriously dumb and like cheap prostitutes.

So far only Sonya has managed to keep a decent outfit, she represents all the woman in Mk. The only one who can actually fight, look sexy and decent at the same time.

If she ever looks like the rest, I would be sad, though it would not be such a big deal since she has never looked like a skank.

Actually, if Sonya came back with an outfit like that, I think it would be perfectly fair and natural.

Have we not seen all the other females looking halfnaked with no reason? they all look the same and very stupid.

Sonya so far, has been the only one to keep her pants on. She is the most respected female of mk.

If I ever see her like that I would feel kind a sad, but actually, it would be cool, since she has earned the respect she needs to be considered the most decent female in the games.

Sonya looks eye-candy sexy, but unlike the others, she can do this with pants and tops.

Sheesh. I hate these debates. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Sonya showed more flesh. I also wouldn't mind if she came back with more armor than Cyrax. While she certainly is good-lookin', she doesn't quite fit the sex symbol type (not like my dear, sweet Kitana.) She's a tough chick, the equivallent of Street Fighter's Cammy. So, in a way, if she came back in a skin-tight, stealth commando outfit, I think she could still be sexy and still be in character. I mean, she got away with the whole "tough chick" look in MK:DA, with her thong clearly showing, and, need I remind you, breasts as gravity-defying as always, yet she still seemed in character. She's not just eye-candy, any more than Liu Kang or Jax with their shirts off are eye-candy. She's just, well, a girl who wears girl-things. She can wear her thong and I wouldn't care. Now, if Bo' Rai Cho came out with nothing but a thong... I'd have questions... and a massive desire to puke my guts out. Fatality.

But that’s the strong base of Sonya. She can look all sexy, fit in the world of mk, and be decent at the same time. smile

Unlike the others who dress with practically nothing, they do look sexy, but like ****** old prostitues.

Actually, that makes sense. Kinda like the hot-girl next door. Even in jeans and sweater, she still looks like she could kill a guy just by smiling. Take that girl next door, put her in commando duds, and, viola!, Sonya Blade is born.

Sonya is perfect the way she is.

I also dislike to see how all females wear the same costumes. Even Ashrah who seems to be decent, looks like she has borrowed some costumes from raiden or Kung lao.

I like the tough chick attitude Sonya portrays, and it was kick ass in mkda to see that mean face and the thong.

I hated her so bad before, but after mkda, I realized how perfect her character is.

Sonya has the reputation of being the most decent female of Mk, I hope it stays like that.

Like most already said, she can manage to look hot and sexy without the help of being half-naked. I love her tough serious sarcastic look, and most of all the fact she can kick ass.

Sonya doesn't need to go walking around half-naked, but I wouldn’t mind if it ever happens once, because, well, she has been decent in all games, 1 wouldn’t hurt, but I rather not, I rather see her stay the way she is.

They must never take away Sonya's sexy tough attitude.
