Agreed. Sonya should never look like a fake whore. She is not only hot the way she is, but she is also the most powerful of all chicks.

If I ever saw Sonya be introduced in a game in a bra top and some short skirt with stiletto heels, I would scream... and not for joy. I agree with everyone else who has stated that she is attractive in a natural and in an "I don't know how good looking I am, and honestly don't give a damn" way. Both looks in DA were sexy, but in a modest and a realistic way. Other than MK4, that was the only other time a look truly suited her character. She shows enough skin and gives an idea to enough assets without making you wonder if someone could actually fight in that attire. As for Mileena's new look, on the other hand, I wonder how long before her breasts fall out from underneath. x.x;

I liked Sonyas outfit in MK4 the most. It was a revamped version of her older outfits from MK1 and 3, just with a ball cap and commando boots. She looked the most attractive in that one. And the only skin she showed was her arms and stomach.
Yes, I could see her wearing a sports bra and some shorts, ala Lara Croft but that's it. I think that if she would wear a Sam Fisher type stealth suit that would be fine.(some one already stated this)In fact that would kick ass. Her in a stealth suite with a bare midrift, a pair of night vision goggles, a combat knife on her waist and maybe a streak of camouflage make up on her cheeck and I wouldn't change a thing. Kitanas outfit is more symbolic. It personafies the statement that beautiful things can be deadly. Millenas outfit shows that not everything is what seems to be.

There are very few female characters out there who can look hot without showing too much skin. Sonya, Chun Li, and Alex Hendrickson are some examples.

Meh, Sonya is Sonya lol. I don't really know how else to say that. She's really middle ground in terms of revealing outfits. True, she has never shown much skin but her outfits were still pretty nerdy and revealing in not so obvious ways.

Take the MK1 outfit for instance. Skin tight lycra workout clothing complete with an outside thong thing? Reveals a lot of skin? No. Leave much to imagination? Nope.

Or heck, even her alternate from DA. Those clothes are DAMN tight on her body, in fact I don't even know how she could wiggle her booty into those one size too small pants.

At the end of the day though there is always going to be a cliche revealing outfit for any girl in an MK game. But for some like Sonya you'll get a more conservative outfit too so everybody is happy in the end.

No, she shouldn't be. Fighters in MK should be just that, FIGHTERS. I don't see why anyone would go looking for sexual appeal in a video game.

That is one thing I really really do not like about today's America, women are used for their sexuality, exploited for their bodies. Definitely one of the things wrong in the U.S. today.

Of course, people like Mai from Fatal Fury (or King of Fighters, I never know which) fight around in what is basically a loose towel. The reason? To "distract" the opponent and catch them off guard. Well, I agree that it would certainly make me loose focus if some girl's boobs were bouncing out of her shirt every time she took a step. But, Sonya doesn't need to "distract" her opponent (Li Mei does, though). She's tough enough and skilled enough to handle it on her own. But, the whole "women's sexuality" thing, while I agree in general, doesn't really apply as much to an imaginary, ficticious, digital character. It's like all those Lara Croft fan-boys. She's not real. She's more unattainable than any movie star. Besides, even if there was a radical change, I don't think people would complain too much. Complaints were small and few with Li Mei when she was released, but the consensus still was that she could have been better (and now is, IMO.) Fatality.

IMO, any female (or male for that matter) can dress however the hell they want as long as they play good and have a good story.
Mileena may dress like a skank, but she's consistently been good to play as and she has one of, if not the, best storylines in MK.
Although IMO Kitana doesn't dress that bad, it doesn't matter because I always found her good to play as and also has a strong storyline.
And Sonya does too, I suppose.
(I personally dislike Sonya, so I'll leave the Sonya-praising to her fanboys.)

Li Mei, on the other hand, I think gets lumped into the "eye-candy" category because she dresses like a slut, but has a weak story, a thin character and IMO, she wasn't that good to play as.
Hopefully in MK:D she'll play good and have an improved storyline so she can get out of the "mindless T'n'A" hole.

I was very glad to see that most of the replies said the same. I also think she is sexier with clothes ON. I also agree with the fact that she is the most dignified, conservative girl in MK. SHE JUST ROCKS!!!!! (lol, sorry, favorite character in all MK history).
The only thing that I didn't like about her in MK:DA was that, IMO she was just too tough! She looked like she would punch you in the face just for hitting on her! I would like to see her a little more feminine. I always thought her MK4 was PERFECT. The ponytail and her cute smile in her bio conveyed her feminine side perfectly, while the boots, cap and the thingys on her arms and wrists screamed "you mess with me and I'll kick your ass!"

I've been playing MKDA a little and her tough attitude fits her really nice and is perfect for MKDA, but I hope they make her a liiiittle (just a little) more feminine. Although if she's still tough I'll love her anyways! lol

Finally, I wish they had given Mileena a more conservative alt costume. She's just wearing a string!!!! As edgy as she is, I think that alt costume is a little TOO much, even for Mileena. And her regular costume, well, her boobs will fall out as soon as she raises her arms but is such a cool, amazing, SUPERB design!!!!

Horrible. Just horrible. They looked ok in Mk2 but they were practicly skanks in the other games.

Overall, Sonya is the decent chick of the games. While I like the feeling the other chicks give, they should fight with something that makes sence.

Sonya is credible as she doesn't need to be almost naked to be sexy. That's a nice thing and a relief for most women too. Sonya is basically a wonderful exception to the 'show a little flesh to be sexy' rule.

If she did, I wouldn't mind. She is still Sonya and as long as she still kicks ass and goes about her new look in a sexy way, I'll be happy.

Yeah me too. I dont want her to be like that, but if she ever looked like one of those whores, I guess it would not be such a big deal, since she probably will stay decent, and because she has always been decent, never like that.

I think the only female that has to look sexy has to be Mileena b/c she is UGLY! but the other females can show some skin though...

Mileena looks awesome this way. The almost naked aspect actually suits her evil character.

So far, she is the only female who can look like a decent tramp. Sonya is sexy decent.
