I'm very disappointed with ERMAC.

I think you all know I'm not a big fan of ninjas, but out of all of them, this character is the one I actually like best! But what I see in the trailers has made me feel a bit angry.

It’s obvious Ermac has the exact, and I mean EXACT special moves Kenshi had in MKDA. Now, if Kenshi is in the game, it would have been a little more logical if they gave him back the body slam, throw, etc, since he had them in MKDA, but they gave all his trademarks to Ermac!

I though Ermac was going to return with the classic ones (body slam and green flame ball being the only magical Telenetik moves he had) and a whole lot of new! Not with all of Kenshi’s moves.

I hope they change that and give Ermac decent and more original specials. I even dislike his Ground Levitating Slam since it’s just like JAX’S “Ground Punch” in MKDA and pretty much likeJAREK’S “Body Quake” of Mk4.

There are so many great ideas on how to use Ermac’s powers in amazing ways, but it seems people don’t like to think anymore.

I'm not complaining, maybe this will be changed by the time MKD hits stores, but is something I think should be fixed.

i agree with you completely queve i was very disapointed today to see all those kenshi moves.. i was hoping for some more originality with his telekenisis... and with kenshi in the game? i assume he will have the same moves as in mkda like everyone else... so 2 characters in the same game with the same move set practically? i really do hope they change this and give him some unique moves so he plays differently than kenshi.. special move wise... though im still loving how this game looks... but thres bound to be some griping about it.... but hopefully they decide to change this before the launch...

Well what did you fucking expect? Of course Ermac is going to be like Kenshi because Ermac taught of all of those moves to Kenshi. If you feel like continuing to bitch, then look at the moves Ermac has that are HIS and his alone. I'm almost certain Kenshi will have his OWN moves, but of course they'll have some of the same moves because they're TEACHER and APPRENTICE.

Calm down, dude. There's no reason act like that. Reasonable viewpoints aren't a cause of offense.

Anyway Queve, I'm really surprised Kenshi was even playable at E3, because we have barely seen the guy beyond a few pics(that I'm aware of). Kenshi's slam was modeled after Ermac's MK3 move, and really I think the right thing to do would be to give it back to Ermac. I'm sure they changed Kenshi so they could be truthful to Ermac's character. I have no doubt they both have telekenesis, but I'm certain in the long run they'll both play entirely different. But we'll see, I guess.

Well, I've read many of your posts Wanderer, and that was the first I've ever seen you react like that. I know what you mean with the slow downs, it's driving me crazy as well.

There has to be 80+ browsers right now. The site hasn't run this slow in months.

Well im happy with ermac having his classic moves and im pretty sure kenshi will have his own and some of ermacs too, so i wouldn't get work up over ther fact that ermac use alot of Kenshi MKDA moves, So i'll i can is just sit back and enjoy, cuz this is just the first day of E3, and i'm betting theres lots more to come:)

WTF Ermac has the best set a moves in the game thus far...a fireball a slam a throw around a kunglao type kick............I cant believe u dont like him........that ermac sindel trailer was amazing cause of ermac.......and if u were a fan u would know all the stuff kenshi does was cause of ermac......

Well first of all, I played as Ermac alot today and I LOVE him. He's nothing like Kenshi to me, at all. He's very unique. He has his own fighting style, a different weapon and he really only has one of Kenshi's moves (the throw). The has his classic fireball, his lift and slam and he has the new ability to self levitate and do moves in the air, such as the dive kick. I played with him alot and found myself doing 10 hit combos with ease, his moves link so well. I just say don't let the video fool you, he is a completely different and feels completely different.

Sweet bro. Thats so cool. I cant wait to play this damn game. Ermac sounds awesome.

and if someones doesnt like ninjas in the first place...what the f are you even making a thread about one of em then? we got enough bitching about mk and i dont think we really need a thread from someone who doesnt like ninjas to begin with.

But is his energy ball truley his original? Getting down on one knee and shooting a large green "Star"?

And what were his fighting styles/How easy were his styles to use?

that was his projectile in umk3 so yes it is his move back for mk6.

He sounds awesome! I may actually like him on MKD! I agree with what was said earlier about Ermac having Kenshis moves. He should have them as he taught Kenshi how to use them. However, Ermacs should have different side effects or better range or soemthing. They do need to be more advanced.

Actually I was at the E3 today and I used Ermac, He fely quite a bit different than Kenshi did. Also, I notice that they have toned Kenshi down quite abit too, he can no longer re-juggle you with multiple telekenetic slams after an uppercut or other basic attack like Ermac can. In essence ermac seems more powerful and faster than kenshi does now. There was some weird move I did with Kenshi that was called Psi-ops mind trick, He would hold his head and glow bright blue but it did nothing. I asked Ed Boon what it was but he said it wasn't finished yet and diddn't elaborate on how it works.

1o I never said Ermac was a clone.

2o So, in your opinion I cant make a thread about Ninjas cause I dont like them? I seriously doubt you can read and think at the same time.

3o I can and will post anything I want, if you are the one who missunderstands the disscusion, dont worry, I dont blame you. I see why.

Yes, they basicly killed Ermac with all that shit!

I know he is no clone and that he had those style of moves first, but can there at least be more originality????

He has all of Kenshis powers!

He levitates in air like Sindel!

He does an air fly kick like Kung Lao!

He does an air attack similar to Jax ground punch!

AHHHHHH!!!!!!

They killed Ermac, even though he has the best look of all the ninjas.

Ermac is Ermac, no matter what moves he has copied from or the way he looks. they made ermac in a way so that he would take a decent amount from every character, you guys were talking about how they gave scorpion and noob saibot the same form and powers and the same fighting styles, well at least they changed some things around with ermac and kenshi.

I think ermac needs improvement! His new look kicks ass but all those special moves are not original. Not from him....sad

Yes I know he thought kenshi but still, he needs his own set! not a whole bunch of others.

Well you have to give him the telekenetic slam since he originally had it. The throw you can do without, and the push. So far I didn't see the push though. Although he does have his energy ball back and levitate, I am still hoping he has new, different telekenetic powers.
