You coud press a button(maybe up on the right analog stick) and it will tag out to another character just like it does with NS. Imagine the combinations of teams?
And to make it even better, imagine if it was 4 player compatible ONLINE!
Teams....
1. Sub-Zero + Scorpion(duh) - Eternal Rivals
2. Sub-Zero + Frost - Icey Betrayal
3. Quan Chi + Shang Tsung - Deadly Alliance
4. Kintaro + Goro(or Sheeva) - Shokan Pride
5. Stryker + Hsu Hao - Nobody Likes Us
6. Jax + Sonya - Special Forces
7. Johnny Cage + Mokap - Team Hollywood
8. Liu Kang + Kung Lao - Shaolin Monks
9. Fujin + Raiden - Team Gods
10. Onaga + Shao Kahn - Emperors
11. Kano + Kabal(or Jarek) - Black Dragon Unites
Holy shit the possibilities.
Another cool idea is that players can get special bonuses from picking certain teams. Nothing huge or game breaking, maybe a special throw or something. Like if you pick Sub-Zero and Scorpion the announcer would be like "ETERNAL RIVALS" and you would get...
Icey Hell - A special throw. Sub-Zero kicks the opponent into the air and gathers Ki and blasts them with a huge ice ball. Then the camera shifts to Scorpion and he shoots out his spear screaming "DIE! DIE DIE!" and twirls it around like a tornado, racking up combo damage while the opponent is getting sliced up in the air. To finshing it off he clinches onto to them with the spear and slams them to the ground, instantly following up with a Sub-Zero slide.
Just and idea, but I love the idea of team battle.

Agreed, I think adding tag mode would spice up this game even more, and having tag throws like DOA would be nice to, I like your ideas keep them Koming.

MK Tag Tournament? I dunno, Verse. I finally got over the nightmare of Tekken Tag Tournament, so I'm not sure about an MK version. And what if the glitches return online? Bo + Dairou - Team Broken? wow Maybe it'll be best if it was an option Two Player mode.

You could include Mavado - Nobody likes us.

NO. Team tag play and such things have always irked me. If there would be a 4 player match, where each char is played by different people, that would be allright I guess. But no, I never liked TT.

it will be online. boon already said it. read the mag close i belive it's the 1 that mention's chess & puzzle not being in there and that the online portion will support up to 8 ppl or something.

This would be awesome to see.
Mileena and Kitana could go into the rivals category along with Sonya and Frost and Sonya and Kano.
A tag team feature would be pretty cool and I love the idea of the special bonuses. Going with the pairing of Kitana and Mileena I mentioned, Kitana could perform her Fan Lift and suspend the opponent in the air whilst Mileena jumps in and does a multi Sai projectile throw with Kitana knocking the opponent out of the air with a Fan Throw to finish it off.

I like the idea. Sounds interesting to be able to create your own tag-team as an extra feature. I would probably choose:
Sonya-Johnny: The Newlyweds
Kitana-Sindel: Edenias Pride
Sindel-Jade: The rescuers
Mileena-Tanya: The resentful.
And others Im too lazy to put.
Though you could make enemy teams:
Sonya-Kano
Mileena-Kitana
Jade-Tanya
Rayden-Shang Tsung
Sindel-Shao Kah
Etc.
Good ideas Vers, I guess if well developed Tag teams could work ok (different from how noob-smoke played though)

i had the same idea in mind also. instead of the whole throw thing (good idea by the way).
i was thinking every one can be a team, but only certain pairs have combo moves and CS combos, like noob smoke. all the others would be just a tag in and tag out.

LOL! I messed up, at first I typed Jade, but I forgot to change the text.
But anyway, they could still be best friends, but yeah, the title doesn’t suit them, my mistake.
