IMDB - Keep an Eye Out

Hi guys,
I remember a while back that IMDB posted the voice actors for Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 before they were released so I suggest that you keep an eye on IMDB to see if they accidentally leak the roster!
The URL is: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1107835/
So far it just lists that Ed Boon is doing the voice of Scorpion, but I imagine if the story mode is as extensive as they've been saying then the characters will definately be voiced!
Worth checking now and again anyway if anyone is interested in doing so...just a thought!
Regards,
- TheKrow

-_- No. Just no. You should know better than to do this. You have your sig to advertise your site, so please make good use of it there and not in this thread. |

I really wish Midway would find and just stick to some voice actors for the characters. The only ones that have had the same voice for two or more games in a row are Scorp, Sub-Zero, Bo' Rai Cho, and Shujinko, I think.

Wasn't it IMDB that 'confirmed' Captain Marvel in the early goings?
It might not be Wikipedia, but i's worth remember that IMDB supports public submission.

Wow, I hope what you said about Captain Marvel is true. He's on of the few DC heros I like. Abd if Captain Marvel is in, then Black Adam might be in too. And honestly I don't read DC comic (I'm a MARVEL and Darkhorse guy) but I do get Wizard, so I know about what's been going on with DC over the past couple years, and they have REALLY been making Black Adam into a pretty powerfull villain. And he's EXTREMELY violent. They've shown him litterally punching right through someone's face and the fist coming out the back of the guys head. He's a definite possability for the DC Boss. He's just a powerfull as Shazzam (Captain Marvel) and any comic fan knows Captain Marvel is just as powerfull as Superman (without Superman's weaknesses).

Excellent? I'm gonna have to disagree.
Taven and Daegon were good, and Shujinko, Kano, and Sub-Zero were played the same guys they've been for the past several games...but Reptile sounded outright terrible and nothing like he usually does, and here's what really bothers me: Raiden and Argus were just the Sub-Zero guy again!
That's Midway's biggest problem when it comes to voices. They reuse the same voices for multiple characters, when every character SHOULD sound unique. It's even worse during the fights because there's only those three different voices per gender in the whole game.
Worst part was how they even forgot that the Cyberninjas are supposed to make electronic warble sounds, not human grunts. Cyrax made the right sounds in Deadly Alliance, how come they forgot in Deception and Armageddon?

Thats exactly why I said: “when compared to the ones of MKD” and that “there is still room for improvement”.
MKA’s voice acting was a thousand times better then in that game, more believable and even more enjoyable.
Now, regarding the Cybors, I 100% agree. Though I thought it was silly to hear Sektor talk like that, I let it slip because it wasn’t as horrible as it could had been. And I suppose you are right about Reptile, but I don’t remember how he spoke. Cyborgs need their amazing MK3 sounds!
Its so stupid to see them repeating the mistake of giving them natural red blood, organs, and human voices.
And yes, they SHOULD have various voices and actors to give more uniqueness and individuality to each of the characters. It is frustrating to hear only 2 or 3 different male voices for a cast of over 20 males, and the same kind of female voice for all females...though MKD did an excellent job with the screaming and cries (Mileena comes to mind as well as most of the females), they felt more varied and unique in that game...but like I said above: theres always room for improvement).
Voices are a subtle subject they should focus on. Its very important.

I agree 100% with Queve on this one, and being that I myself want to get a job in the future with voice acting I totally agree and couldn't have said it better.
In FACT, MKA DID have superb compared to MKD.....MKD sounded amateurish and literally like someone was reading on the spot, while MKA's sounded great, very authentic, different and rehearsed.
I know this because I've been into voiceacting since H.S. and made a few webtoons online with my friend whos very talented with editing, dubbing etc.
I think the voiceacting in MK8 will be pretty good, hopefully they get the same people back that did MKA honestly.
But for this news, I always keep an eye out for IMDB
I swear to the Gods, Ron Perlman had better be voicing SOMEONE in this game. He's got history with both sides of this war, so the only excuse there would be of him NOT being in the game, is the fact that he's so in demand right now for various projects and would be too busy to voice a character.
