I own all 3 consoles, but wasn't planning to get it for the cube anyway (seeing as I had MKDA on X-Box and was speculating about the online anyway), but I guess it is a shame.

Well regarding stages/fatalities: I noticed two.

A Pit/Fall fatality, from Top Perspective, like in MK2 pit stage. In the video it looked like Scorpion was falling into blackness...

Then the fatality where Scorpion kicks Barak into two spinning pillars of spikes.

It seems There was a green tile in the Pillar Fatality that Baraka was standing on before he was knocked into the spilling pillars.

This game is looking incredible.

I got Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for PC This past Dec on PC. It has a free online option. It is my 1st online game. I am so addicted to this game. I cant imagine how will be addicted to MK6 online. To me how could someone say they dont care that MK6 isnt online? I mean online gaming = unlimited replay value and MK6 going to be the best one yet how can Cube owners like myself say they dont care that they can challage people around the world? I hope the lost of sales on MK6(if even if MK6 is coming to GC) wakes Nintendo asses up and get the fu*ck online NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Nintendo fans once again find themselves with a lot to be in denial about. What does it matter if the game is online or not? I am an owner of all three consoles and will end up getting the Gamecube version of the game. With a Adventure mode, Konquest mode, and the fighting modes the game is going offer enough replay value without an online mode. The only way I would get it to play online is if online was the main focus of the game, but in this case it is not.

I think the people who don't care about the online play are the people who just might get owned!Think about it.Would'nt you like to own someone online and talk trash over the mic?I know I am looking forward to it.

I am not too sure, but I think that Mortal Kombat is an exception to Midway's current stance on Gamecube due to strong sales the games have always done on Nintendo consoles and also the fact every single Mortal Kombat to date has been on a Nintendo console. I don't think Midway would all of a sudden change that. So a Gamecube version of the game is very likely, despite Midway only announcing PS2 and Xbox versions. I will end up getting the Gamecube version if it does come on GCN.

Also, to NeoScorpion, Sony and MS didn't get as financially big as they are by throwing their money at stuff that isn't profitable. They're not going to knowingly invest in something that they're not going to get a return on just because they can. Nintendo's not focusing on online games because they're stuck in the past, they like sticking with their old formulas, which is fine, except it's going to hurt them in the end, if it's not already.

Personally I'd b a hypocryte if I said I didn't like Online gaming... I'd be a blatant liar. Having a PS2 I play games Like Socom and Madden incisively. But to pay for these services which most games provide in an area of "downloadable content" which is mostly shit that should have been programmend into the game anyway! I'm not too keen on the amount of experience Midway has on the online field but online is probably gonna be just another extra and not a supplementary part of the game. as far as I know this is just some more tripe from gaming sites that have claimed cancellations and porting to other consoles from Nintendo that ususally end up being negated. God I cannot believe how implausible a 'reliable' source of information to the gaming media be.

I didn't know much about online games... I thought it was free with your local ISP... But first, I don't live in the USA. Second, I'm not willing to pay an online service for only ONE game or for GAMES in general. Third, I'm too busy with LIFE so I don't have enough time to sit in front of the TV.

well.. the main argument... is are you gonna pay for online capability.. since it cost money for the console of choice for online play.. thats why many people think its a waste of time since we already have 1 internet connection which is our comps.. now if they only had a router on the console... hmm.. but like i said the big prob is the money for the subscribtion service... ahh anouther monthly bill just because i wanna play mk online? geez they should have it for free since pc games do... allwell.. well some anyway..

Nobody said anything about a monthly fee for the game yet, as far as I know PS2 is free and Xbox is just $50 per year...that's cheap and you all already have the internet.

Leno_mk...I have a LIFE too guy. I work my ass off all night to support my family then when I get home, my wife goes to work and I watch the kids. I have a few hours per day that I can blow on anything I want and for now it's MK.
